- H.P.S.T Chapter 1502: The Confrontation between Red and Green
The magic power was surging, and Dumbledore’s body was slowly turning into energy.
His right arm had already become completely ethereal, taking on the same color as the Twin Serpent Staff.
This was a color difficult to describe, a bit like the shining starry universe, which seemed transparent, but one couldn’t see through it to the scenery beyond.
This was the color of magic, and Dumbledore was leaving this space.
He was being tightly bitten by the two green giant serpents, enduring immense pain that blurred even his consciousness.
But his strong will was supporting him, supporting him to complete the entire magic.
If there was anyone in the world who could wield the Twin Serpent Staff to cast a spell capable of destroying the Kraken and the evil god, it could only be Dumbledore. He alone was capable of such a feat.
Even if the cost was his life, Dumbledore would not hesitate!
He already had this realization, and he was about to die here.
Things were developing in a direction beyond what Evan had expected. Perhaps this was within Dumbledore’s original plan, the worst-case scenario he had mentioned, but not one that was entirely unacceptable.
But Evan couldn’t accept it, he had to find a way to stop it!
At this time, with Dumbledore as the center, the dark green gate had occupied all the space above. At the center of the gate was a huge, pitch-black void, glittering with faint lights, like the boundless universe, making people lose themselves in it at a glance.
Because of the overwhelming magic filling the surroundings, the entire space was trembling.
Amid deafening roars, the frequency and intensity of the tremors increased. Huge chunks of flesh and blood were falling off the sea worm.
Evan and Harry shook with it, and the body of the sea worm was about to disintegrate!
As Dumbledore’s body turned to energy, everything was about to come to an end.
Ahead, the former lake of energy had turned into a deep pit.
At the bottom of that pit, between the remaining lake water, a narrow and long red track was extremely obvious. That was the eye of the Kraken, a blood-red eye that could arouse fear in the heart, but without the terrifying tentacles surrounding it, the horror effect it brought now was greatly reduced.
At least Evan no longer felt the same fear he once did when he met its gaze again.
The Kraken without its tentacles was like a tiger that had lost its fangs.
Evan could even see panic in its eyes. He didn’t know whether it was the Kraken that was afraid or Herpo the Foul that was parasitic on it. It wanted to escape, but it couldn’t move under the crushing power of the Twin Serpent Staff.
All it could do was glare viciously at Dumbledore above.
Herpo the Foul, the Dark wizard who created Horcruxes, the Basilisk, curses and countless evil things, had transformed himself into an evil god in pursuit of immortality, turning into a monster so terrible that even someone as powerful as Salazar Slytherin could only seal him away.
But nothing in the world was eternal, and no matter how powerful the evil was, it would have its day of reckoning.
Now, Dumbledore was using the Twin Serpent Staff at the cost of his life, channeling the ultimate Titan power to shatter that dream of immortality.
Evan didn’t know what the creature was thinking as it faced its end, but he couldn’t just stand by and watch Dumbledore die. There had to be another way. He didn’t know which spell might work, but he was certain of one thing — The Book of Abraham!
Evan was sure that this magic book, left by the ancient prophet and filled with knowledge about the evil gods, must hold a solution.
It was his only recourse. After another violent shake, Evan steadied himself, quickly took out The Book of Abraham and unfolded it in front of him.
He asked Harry to help hold the heavy book steady and began flipping through its pages rapidly.
In the previous few uses, the book had always acted on its own, flying out and flipping to the corresponding page at the most critical moment, saving Evan’s life.
But now, he was not in immediate danger, and The Book of Abraham remained still and unresponsive.
Evan remembered that this magic book was divided into three parts.
The third part was related to the evil gods. Last time, he had used the third part to seal the evil god at the ruins of the Fallen Centaurs.
It contained the necessary incantations, and Evan had already deciphered part of it — enough to use!
Then there was the second part of the book, which featured the image of the Twin Serpent Staff.
That powerful magic staff possessed the power of space. It had originally belonged to the ancient prophet Abraham, bestowed upon him by the gods, and was a must-have item for entering the void.
Evan flipped through the pages of the book and suddenly had such an epiphany.
He connected all the causes and consequences together and figured out the ins and outs of the Twin Serpent Staff.
Although there had been no clear verification, he felt that this might be the case.
The war spanning billions of years between the ancient Titans and the parasitic evil gods of the Void, the final battle waged by ancient sorcerers, the void-traveling journey of the prophet Abraham, the Four Founders of Hogwarts and their families’ sacred mission to guard the world — all of it…
Countless scattered clues were now weaving themselves into a vast web!
Even if Evan didn’t know every detail, the key pieces were falling into place to form a complete picture.
The changes that had taken place since the moment he came here were gradually becoming clear.
Thinking of all this, he quickly flipped past the first part of the book, the section illustrated with the Philosopher’s Stone.
Each page of the book had become unusually heavy, so much so that Evan couldn’t flip through them all at once to reach the page he needed. He could only turn them one by one.
And with every page he turned, a significant amount of his magic power was consumed.
Evan was getting anxious. Around him, the energy was becoming dangerously active. In midair, Dumbledore was slowly descending, the tip of the Twin Serpent Staff aimed directly at the Kraken’s blood-red eye — right at its center.
He knew that the moment Dumbledore reached the ground would mark the end of everything.
Time was running out. If Evan wanted to save Dumbledore, he had to find a way; he had to successfully cast the spell from The Book of Abraham.
Evan hoped that Dumbledore’s fall would be slower. Just then, a crimson beam of light shot up from below. It was the combined aura of the Kraken and Herpo the Foul, filled with massive Dark energy. They were making one final, desperate attempt to stop Dumbledore.
They wanted to block the descent of Dumbledore and the Twin Serpent Staff. The crimson beam reached out to engulf Dumbledore, but as soon as it came into contact with the emerald green energy, it was forcibly stopped, pushed back into a compressed, elliptical energy shield.
Still, Dumbledore continued to descend. and the dark green energy of the caduceus gradually formed the shape of a sharp sword that pierced into the red energy shield.
The two powerful energies confronted each other, not with explosive impact, but with a resistance more intense than one could imagine.
The magic power surged, and the collision force intensified the vibration of the space.
Under the influence of the overflowing energy waves, even the sea worm’s tough body could no longer hold. The top of it split wide open, completely shattered, as seawater came flooding in wildly…
