Helmut: The Forsaken Child - H.F.C Chapter 129 (Part 2):
The one who had ceased to be Dino immediately identified Helmut as an enemy.
“Kraaak!”
He immediately rushed in, swinging his fist at Helmut. Bang! The movements were simple, like a child’s, but their power was tremendous.
Helmut raised his Vis to block the blows with his sword hilt. Each block felt like stopping a boulder. His palms were sore and his bones were shaking.
Helmut narrowed his eyes.
“…”
No matter how strong a madman is, there’s a limit.
In a one-on-one fight, Dino couldn’t last a minute against Helmut. A simple brute strength increase doesn’t change much.
Instead of just defending, the moment Helmut starts attacking, it would be over.
A state in which all senses of the body are paralyzed. Even if he hits a vital spot, it might not knock him out, but he could still kill him.
The sword covered in vis could pierce through the magic and separate his body and head. It was simple.
But Helmut was pondering a more difficult method.
‘How can I save him without killing?’
This is just wasting time. No matter how much Fasho tried to strengthen him, he knew Helmut wouldn’t lose to such a guy.
‘Assassin, huh? His method would suit a dark mage better.’
By the standards of the Forest of Roots, the magic was not impressive. But the magic clashing with Vis felt intense enough in this outer world.
Feeling magic after a long time, the seed of darkness within responded.
The seed of darkness stirred as if it were a living creature parasitizing Helmut’s heart.
Suddenly, Dino’s assault stopped. His empty eyes stared at Helmut’s chest.
He sensed it—the seed of darkness in there.
Helmut instinctively realized.
‘Maybe I can use this.’
Helmut reached out aggressively. Now was the chance while Dino was still. His hand grabbed Dino’s shoulder.
The seed of darkness writhed, drawing in the magic. As if it was planned to do so.
Similar powers. But this side had a tangible force. It growled as if beckoning the magic from the resisting body to come over, enticing its kin.
The movement was repulsive, as if a part of the body moved on its own.
The magic clashing with Vis in Dino’s body changed direction. Gathering is the nature of energy. Magic sought a path, avoiding the fierce collision.
Everything has its use. The seed of darkness was fulfilling its role.
Dino’s Vis and magic began to separate. The separated magic slowly pushed into Helmut through his palm.
Helmut had been controlling the seed of darkness for a long time. It wouldn’t be difficult to deal with the external magic that was pushing in so blatantly.
Helmut began to fight the battle Dino was fighting. Burning the magic with Vis.
It was rather easy to burn the magic that was condensed and pushed in, although it was inevitable that the magic scattered in the air would seep in through the breath.
‘Good thing Fasho isn’t here.’
In this situation, if attacked, even Helmut would have been in trouble.
Helmut’s Vis skillfully burned Dino’s magic. It was being sucked in as if into the seed of darkness, making the process quick.
Helmut removed his hand from him. If he dies after all this, there’s nothing Helmut could do. He’s not a mage.
“Huhhh.”
Dino trembled. The lost focus returned to his eyes.
The clash of two powers must have caused internal injuries.
He’s from the swordsmanship department, strong and sturdy. His condition shouldn’t worsen.
“Are you conscious?”
Dino weakly nodded his head. He seemed to understand, but his vocal cords appeared paralyzed.
He collapsed on the spot and didn’t get up again.
‘Has he lost consciousness?’
It didn’t seem like a long delay, but Helmut needed to return quickly. He reached out to carry Dino, but then he noticed something strange. The wall in front of him was getting closer.
‘This is.’
Rumble! Was this the last trick? The rock was moving. A steep slope was quickly tilting towards them.
It was fast. The rock was large and heavy enough to be a hill by itself. If it collapsed, they would be crushed entirely. It was a close call even for Helmut to escape alone.
In front of Helmut was the fallen Dino. He had almost saved Dino. A sharp light flashed in his eyes.
Helmut leaped forward.

Just because it was dawn, the forest was not entirely quiet. Even if people were silent, the chirping of mountain birds and the noise of insects disturbed the ears.
However, at one moment, that noise completely died down. It hadn’t been even 5 minutes since Helmut left.
“He’s here.”
Asuka muttered nonchalantly. However, his eyes were blazing with a strong fighting spirit.
He was the most eager to fight the assassin here. It didn’t matter to him that the enemy might be stronger. Asuka was born without fear.
He smirked, lifting one corner of his mouth.
“Come at me.”
On the other hand, Andro and James had tense faces, back to back. With the three of them back to back, it formed a triangle, the optimal formation to face an unknown enemy.
As long as the enemy was human, he wouldn’t suddenly emerge from the ground.
But the assassin did not ambush them.
“Oh, oh. Looks like some noblemen picked the wrong friend.”
A voice floated from somewhere. Thin and chilling.
It came from the road. Through the dense branches, a figure was seen walking. His pace was leisurely, as if on a stroll. It was the composure only a strong person could afford.
The figure of the man fully appeared. Tall, with limbs long like a spider. His approaching figure was threatening.
A white clown mask added a bizarre feeling. His appearance visually intimidated the opponent.
His gaze fixed on Asuka.
“Ah, one of them isn’t a noble?”
Not a noble, someone who could be killed without consequences. Fasho’s gaze turned cold with mockery.
