Helmut: The Forsaken Child - H.F.C Chapter 80 (Part 2):
Asuka was always ready to start a fight, but he couldn’t overcome the pain in his body.
Sian looked at Asuka, who bent over in pain with a groan after striking his arm, and Helmut interjected, “You should go see a healing mage.”
“Do you think I have the money for that? To get treatment in the middle of the night, you’d have to pay double. It’s a heavy burden for commoners,” Asuka replied.
Sian was paying close attention, though. In truth, despite his mild appearance, he had a cold side to him.
That comment implied that Asuka became interested.
On the other hand, Helmut was starting to want liberation from this annoying situation. He had helped enough. It had taken a lot of patience.
“If you don’t care, you can just leave.”
“You ungrateful brat! Do you know it almost happened to you too?”
He grumbled about doing what she wanted. He was just a guy who complained about everything.
Helmut cut him off abruptly.
“I wouldn’t have been hurt. Unlike you.”
Asuka, who had witnessed Helmut’s fighting spirit, couldn’t retort even though he gritted his teeth. Sian glanced back and forth between them.
“Oh, what’s with this guy?”
His reaction was a bit different from revealing his discomfort to Sian. Perhaps he was holding his breath in front of a stronger opponent.
But Asuka, on the other hand, was looking at Helmut with eyes like a whimpering puppy.
While he didn’t like Sian paying attention to him, he became sensitive when Helmut turned away from him.
“There’s a way. Helmut, I need your help.”
It was a gaze that seemed to ask, “What now?” Sian smiled, unfazed
.”Knock knock.”
“You can come in.”
Helmut pushed the door open, partially entering the room.
Alea, who had just changed into new pajamas and finished washing her face, was coming out of the bathroom.
Alea stopped abruptly and looked at Helmut with a puzzled expression, furrowing her brow. She sensed the presence of someone else behind him. There were two of them.
“Who’s outside?”
“They need your help.”
Helmut replied, feigning helplessness as he pointed at his back.
“So, you’re saying they want to come in here? Both of them?”
Alea clenched her fist, eyeing Helmut with a glare.
Although the wall between Helmut and Alea had been crumbling lately, it didn’t mean she was ready to accept other people as well.
The door opened a bit more, and Sian stuck his head out.
“Hey, Alea! Don’t be so cold. We’re not strangers. Oh, by the way, your pajamas look quite impressive. Very stylish.”
Alea was wearing lavender pajamas adorned with brown teddy bears. The fabric was luxurious, and the pattern was intricate, making it surprisingly tasteful and flattering.
Lately, animal-themed pajamas had been in fashion, and Sian found them interesting.
“Did you buy that recently? Where did you get it?”
Alea replied curtly, “Malport Store.”
“The one at the east end of the downtown area? It’s quite expensive there.”
“I have more money than you.”
“Yes, yes, I’m sure. The top student of the Magic Department.”
“Exactly, second to none.”
Sian smoothly accepted it. Unlike Alea, who put her life into her grades, Sian wasn’t overly concerned about academic achievements.
There was a significant gap between Alea and him, but maintaining the second position was sufficient.
“So, can our top student let us enter the room? It’s chilly outside.”
Sian nudged Asuka, trying to be interested in the new items they had bought and adjusting to their preferences. However, Alea wasn’t pleased.
“Who’s the guy behind you?”
“That’s the important point!”
Sian pushed Asuka forward. Asuka winced, clutching his stomach and squinting.
“You picked up a guy who looks like a street thug.”
Alea said with disdain.
Asuka had been a rare and extraordinary boy in the Swordsmanship Department. However, with his disheveled hair and cracked lips, he currently looked far from extraordinary.
As Asuka tried to say something, Sian laughed heartily, covering his mouth.
“You know him too, right?”
As if telling him to handle it himself, Helmut entered the room. Sian acted quickly.
“Well, it’s getting late, isn’t it? Let’s not make a scene outside and talk inside.”
Sian ushered Asuka inside and closed the door promptly. Alea’s expression turned hostile.
“What are you doing?”
“Heal him with magic, or do you have some potions or something?”
“Are you saying you came to me to ask for healing? Why should I bother with such a nuisance?”
“Out of mercy and sympathy for a commoner classmate who was attacked by a gangster with noble connections?”
“I have no such feelings, so take him and leave my room!”
‘This won’t be easy.’
Alea was never easy to deal with. Sian felt challenged about how to persuade her.
As Asuka, who had become more at ease, looked at Alea’s face, he asked, “You’re so damn pretty. You’re Alea, right?”
Just as Asuka knew about Alea’s reputation in the Magic Department, Alea was aware of the top student in the Swordsmanship Department. Two famous figures were in the same place.
A chilly smile spread across Alea’s lips.
“You’re pretty too.”
Upon closer inspection, her face was so beautiful that even though she was dressed as a woman, there was no doubt that she was really a woman.
It wasn’t the same case with Alea always, but… for some reason, even her way of speaking was annoying. She has mastered acting like a mean, arrogant boy.
