Helmut: The Forsaken Child - H.F.C Chapter 89 (Part 1):
The second-year students of the Swordsmanship Department, who were gathered around Helmut, all had the same thought.
‘We’re screwed!’
A chill ran down their spines. The pretty boy with blue hair, who had appeared swaggering with a wooden sword, didn’t seem threatening at first glance.
Even with a fierce expression on his delicate face, he only looked sly.
However, these guys stiffened as if a monster had appeared.
“Say that again.”
Asuka slowly approached the person he had pointed out with the tip of his finger.
He was the guy who nicknamed him ‘Crazy Dog’. Before the targeted guy could even make an excuse, Asuka grabbed him by the collar like lightning.
“Cough!”
“Do you want to try messing with me now?”
The guy who was grabbed from his collar by Asuka’s hand choked, his face turning pale as his collar tightened.
The guy, who was twice the size of Asuka, couldn’t shake off his hand. It was an enormous grip strength imbued with Vis.
“Hey, let go and talk! Asuka. What are you doing!”
“This is a training ground!”
People around him were flustered and tried to stop him. But Asuka didn’t listen.
Starting a fight in a place without an instructor wasn’t a good idea, it would be a shame even for someone they called ‘Crazy Dog’.
“You’re bad-mouthing me behind my back, Do these guys think that they can say bad things about me behind my back without consequences?”
Asuka was furious as usual. Helmut thought he was like a fish out of water.
“What are you guys to blabber such nonsense to Helmut that it would be better not to get along with me?”
He lightly lifted the guy, who was bigger than him, by the neck and shook him off.
Normally, they would have tried to soothe him, but Helmut, who was even stronger than Asuka, was by his side.
The second-year students of the Swordsmanship Department didn’t easily back down.
“Asuka, look at what you’re doing now.”
“You deserve to hear that!”
“Are you a thug? You’re just grabbing people by the collar without reason.”
“Honestly, this isn’t right.”
Asuka’s face twitched. As he let go of the collar, the freed opponent coughed violently. Asuka asked with his arms crossed.
“Look at these guys. They can’t even squeak normally. Do you think that guy will take your side?”
Everyone’s gaze turned to Helmut. It was a gaze that seemed to ask which side he would take.
Helmut had a headache. Since meeting Asuka, he had experienced feelings he had never felt before in his life.
It was interesting at times, but it was a hassle to be dragged into it.
Asuka urged him.
“Hey, Helmut, what do you think.”
“My thought is, this is a training ground and a place for training.”
It’s not a place to chatter or fight in the first place, but it seemed like he would end up playing the role of a judge rather than training. He had no intention of taking anyone’s side.
Helmut turned around coldly. Leaving only one word.
“Do whatever you guys want.”
Everyone let him go. Except for one person.
“Hey, where are you going? What kind of answer is that!”
“Why don’t you take my side, you stupid bastard. Are you scared?”
Helmut, who was annoyed by the nonsense following him, stopped as soon as he left the training ground.
When the cold gaze turned around, Asuka noticeably flinched.
“Why, what.”
“Fighting is your choice, but don’t involve me.”
“Those guys are talking behind my back! Hello! There is no benefit for you to hang out with such treacherous bastards…”
“That’s for me to decide. Those guys didn’t say anything wrong either.”
“Hey, you should at least tell them not to say that! Are you just standing there like it’s someone else’s business? Those bastards are talking behind your friend’s back!”
“Since when were you and I friends?”
It was a difficult task for Helmut to speak in a way that could be understood by someone who only listened to criticism about him.
He wasn’t used to resolving things through conversation. Asuka was a headache to keep close.
But that been betrayed look in his eyes…
He didn’t know that it would feel like shaking off a puppy that had been following him.
“You owe me a debt. Then at least you shouldn’t bother me.”
“Do I bother you?”
“You’re not saying that because you don’t know, are you?”
“Hey, Helmut!”
“Don’t pretend you don’t know since you’re causing a lot of trouble. Or do you want me to lose my temper?”
He even gave options. Helmut, who had made up his mind coldly and cut off his words, moved his steps again.
They would probably meet again in class soon anyway, but for now, he wanted to be a little freer.
There was about 40 minutes left until the morning class. It was an awkward time to go back to the dormitory.
After some thought, Helmut decided to do as Alea had told him.
