Yujin, with a face brimming with irritation, quietly fixed his gaze on the tattered remains of Apocalypse.

One year ago.

The bastard who had been guarding the summit of the Tower had fought like he was some kind of player, only to flee and escape the Tower entirely.

It was a situation Yujin hadn’t anticipated in the slightest.

The consequences that followed were predictable.

Apocalypse, now unleashed upon the outside world, brought forth countless deaths, and ultimately, it led to the ruin of this world.

Even now, as Apocalypse’s very soul was being torn apart by Yujin’s blade, its existence fading into oblivion…

“Too late.”

A hollow lament slipped from Yujin’s lips.

Too late.

Could there be a phrase that described the current situation more accurately?

Yujin soon turned his attention away from the miserably dead Apocalypse and surveyed his surroundings.

Hoping someone would save the world, they had all perished, unable to even close their eyes.

“Goddamn idiots. Too weak for your own good.”

Yujin cast a sorrowful glance at the corpses, spitting out a coarse curse.

The blasted notifications from the 【Akasha System】 flooded Yujin’s ears like a storm.

Having chased the Tower’s top-floor boss, Apocalypse, for a year and finally beheading it single-handedly, the magnitude of the rewards hardly needed explanation.

Though he had won the fight by tearing Apocalypse into countless pieces, he hadn’t been able to prevent the world’s destruction.

Every living thing had perished, and the world was shattering like glass smashed by a hammer.

“Ah, if just a few more decent bastards had survived… maybe it wouldn’t have come to this.”

If they had, the world’s annihilation might have been prevented.

To realize that only now.

Overwhelmed by a crushing sense of powerlessness and regret, Yujin let out a bitter chuckle and slumped onto a pile of corpses.

“Fuuu-.”

He let out a deep sigh, quietly taking in the collapsing world.

“Damn, it’s pretty damn epic.”

He had witnessed all sorts of unreal things inside the Tower, but nothing compared to the overwhelming spectacle unfolding before him now.

“This is the kind of thing you’re supposed to watch with a glass of soju.”

A sudden craving for liquor hit him.

But, as always, time wasn’t on his side.

Not even the luxury of finding a bottle of soju was granted to Yujin.

“Damn, so this is really how it ends, huh?”

The world, which had been precariously holding on.

Finally, with a massive tremor and a pained wail, it began to collapse completely.

Yujin closed his eyes, staring at the shattered fragments of space-time falling from above.
