The method to obtain 『Subspace』 is simple.

‘Alchemists.’

All you need to do is complete the quests given by those repulsive creatures gathered in the Alchemist Guild.

The size of the 『Subspace』 granted depends on the quest completion rate, and from what’s known, the maximum size is about 10 pyeong. [TN: A pyeong is a Korean unit of area and floorspace, equal to a square kan or 36 square Korean feet. ]

Think of it as roughly the size of a studio apartment.

There were 『Subspaces』 larger than that in the upper floors, but they were exceedingly rare. For the average player, the maximum obtainable size was practically limited to what the Alchemist Guild of [Terra] could provide.

But that was the case for most people.

Yujin, erasing the recent events from his mind, quickened his pace.

‘Next time, I’ll do better. Next time.’

Shame and embarrassment were things he’d long forgotten.

His personality was far too twisted to keep worrying about such things.

And so, a short while later, he arrived at the Alchemist Guild.

Compared to something like [Citadel’s Golden Hammer], it was an incomparably grand, lavish, and extravagant building.

Perhaps one of the top five most magnificent structures in all of Terra?

‘Those bastards are swimming in money.’

They craft all sorts of items and potions, raking in near-usurious profits.

As a result, players had no choice but to despise alchemists.

But what could they do?

The potions alchemists produced were essential for hunting.

Without them, you couldn’t even go out to hunt, so players had no choice but to pay up, swallowing their resentment.

With a sour expression, Yujin stepped into the domain of those money-sucking fiends.

“Welcome!”

“Wow, a player!”

“We warmly welcome you to the Alchemist Guild!”

“Potions for hunting are on the east side of the first floor. Potions for growth are on the west side of the first floor. Skills and items are available from the second floor up.”

“Where would you like to be guided?”

Smiling brightly—.

The quality of service was undeniably different from a rundown shop like [Citadel’s Golden Hammer].

There, you’d only find one burly, bearded old man.

Here, beautiful women greeted Yujin with smiles.

The atmosphere, and even the scent, was on another level.

‘This is how they seduce everyone and empty their pockets.’

A place where hard-earned money vanishes in the blink of an eye.

Yujin, in his first run, had been no exception.

Despite his strength, he’d been quite naive back then.

So, if he didn’t want to fall into the same trap this time, he needed to stay sharp.

“13th floor.”

He spat out the words coldly, exuding an aura that screamed *don’t come near me*.

In an instant, the surroundings fell silent.

“…Did you say the 13th floor?”

“Yeah.”

When Yujin nodded, an NPC who appeared to be the manager responded with an awkward smile.

“My apologies, player. Our guild doesn’t have a 13th floor.”

That’s the official stance.

From the outside, the Alchemist Guild appeared to have only 12 floors.

But Yujin knew.

There was a hidden 13th floor in this building.

“Don’t play dumb and just guide me. Or should I call Cupiditas myself?”

Now, the air wasn’t just quiet—it was heavy.

The people who had been smiling brightly moments ago now fixed Yujin with sharp, piercing gazes.

And who could blame them?

Cupiditas was the master of the Alchemist Guild and one of the five lords ruling Terra.

Very few knew this fact.

Even among NPCs, the vast majority were unaware.

So, there was no way a rookie player who’d just set foot on the first floor could know such a thing.

The woman attending to Yujin stared at him silently before slightly bowing her head.

“I will escort you.”

With the name Cupiditas dropped, this was no longer a situation a mere manager could handle.

Even if she faced reprimand later, she had no choice but to guide him.

Yujin followed her to a circle engraved in the center of the building.

It was a skill zone, functioning as a sort of elevator.

Typically, 『Leap [E]』 was used in places like this, while 『Teleport [B]』 was employed in much larger structures.

“13th floor, ascending.”

Wooooooong—.

The skill engraved on the floor activated, and the surrounding scenery warped.

Paat—!

Just like when he was first summoned to the Tower, the crumpled space unfolded, revealing an entirely different place before his eyes.

The 13th floor.

Cupiditas’s laboratory, a sanctum no one could enter without her permission.

“We’ve arrived.”

In the countless dimensions where the Tower existed, fewer than ten players had ever set foot here.

Yet Yujin stepped out of the circle without the slightest change in expression, calm and composed.

“…You don’t seem surprised.”

“Should I be?”

“No, but most first-time visitors struggle to maintain their composure.”

That was understandable.

The interior of the 13th floor was so bizarre, so grotesque, that words could hardly describe it.

For an ordinary person, simply entering this place might drive them insane.

Not metaphorically—literally.

Their mind would fill with all sorts of negative thoughts, they’d lose the ability to distinguish reality from unreality, and ultimately, they’d forget their own existence and fade away.

That’s why those who knew of this place called the 13th floor [Abyss].

But Yujin was fine.

In his first run, he’d come and gone countless times.

Since the phenomenon affected only the mind—not levels, skills, or traits—Yujin, who was already accustomed to it, was completely unaffected.

“Guess I’m not ordinary.”

Yujin replied nonchalantly and strode forward without waiting for the manager’s guidance.

“Hey, you can’t just move around like that!”

“Forget it. You can go back down. I’ll meet Cupiditas alone.”

In a space where you could barely see an inch ahead, his steps showed no hesitation.
