One Punch Of Justice - O.P.J Chapter 76: Have You Experienced a Lightspeed Kick?
“AAAHHH!!!”
Moria’s agonized cry pierced the air as his massive form staggered backward, a few hesitant steps taken. Clutching a bleeding wound, he roared towards the distance, “Who the hell is it!?”
From a distance, deliberate footsteps echoed.
َA thin, tall shadow appeared from the distance, adorned in a cloak of justice and a yellow-striped suit, confidently striding out of the forest.
Despite the eerie and damp surroundings, he wore sunglasses, giving off an air of calmness.
“I~”
spoke a middle-aged man, his face bearing the marks of time with a scattering of wrinkles. He had short, curly black hair and a faint beard that defined his identity as none other than Admiral Kizaru of the navy headquarters.
With hands casually tucked into his pockets, he observed the strange gathering of zombies on the battlefield. He remarked in a measured tone, “How peculiar! These creatures are everywhere… quite unsettling, don’t you think?”
“K…K…K…K…K…KIZARUUUUUUUUUU!” Horror gripped Moria as he faced the unexpected guest, trembling uncontrollably.
“W…W…What brings you?! You’re not supposed to be here!” he asked, genuine fear in his voice.
“Ah? About that…” Kizaru said slowly as he approached Moria. Simultaneously, he waved his hand, emitting laser-like beams that efficiently dispatched the zombies. “Your voice disrupted my peaceful tea time! Especially when you defied the Navy!”
“But… But my voice isn’t loud enough to reach the Marine H.Q.!” Moria pleaded desperately.
“Uhh! I was on the warship!” Kizaru replied nonchalantly.
“The WARSHIP!!!! Y… You were here all the time?!” Moria realized in shock, his voice quivering. “Are you saying… every warship sent by the Marine Headquarters to retrieve the pardon has an Admiral aboard!?”
“Oh~ so you are aware of the news!” Kizaru squinted and smiled, attempting to appear amiable. Then, extending his index finger, he fired two laser beams that pierced through Moria’s knees.
“Dealing with pirates like you is nothing more than a waste of time!
Even Vice Admiral Onigumo was lenient!
You had one chance, but you chose the wrong path…
What a shame…”
Moria, who had been locked in combat with Vice Admiral Onigumo moments ago, crumpled like paper in front of Kizaru’s laser.
The ground was a morbid canvas painted with blood.
“Moria-sama!”
Gasps of disbelief echoed through the air as their once indomitable captain, appeared utterly powerless.
Perona and the others couldn’t fathom the reality unfolding before their eyes. Moria, the former Warlord of the Sea who had once ruled the Florian Triangle with his shadowy might, now knelt in humiliation before the imposing Admiral.
“Asshole!” Moria muttered through gritted teeth.
He raised his hands weakly, a last-ditch plea for mercy. “It’s just words! I’m not dumb enough to challenge an Admiral!”
While he engaged the Admiral in conversation, he leaned on his shoulder, his gaze locked on the ground. A sinister chuckle escaped his lips.
“Kishishishi…
Kiiiishishishishishi…”
His laughter took on a chilling tone. “Kizaru… Kishishishi… Do you think I’ll surrender?… Kishishishi! Death holds no sway over a true pirate.” His expression twisted, a semblance of madness creeping in. “I’ll kill you!”
“Uh~” Kizaru appeared unimpressed by Moria’s ramblings.
Just as Moria finished speaking, his shadow extended, impaling and absorbing the shadows of his zombie minions, increasing his size and strength.
Kizaru let out an appreciative whistle. “That’s quite huge!”
In the blink of an eye, he appeared on Moria’s shoulder, raising one leg, creating an arc of light. “Ever felt the impact of a light-speed kick to the face?”
-Whoosh-
A brilliant and powerful laser beam shot forth from Kizaru’s foot, piercing Moira’s head and swiftly ending his life. With practiced precision, Kizaru followed it up with a forceful kick, sending the former Shichibukai tumbling through the air.
In that crucial moment, shadows emerged from Moria’s lifeless body, returning to their rightful places.
With a single blow, the battle concluded.
This momentous strike vividly highlighted the stark contrast between justice and corruption in the unforgiving world.
A heavy silence hung over the area, disturbed only by the presence of the naval team assigned to their crucial mission.
Onigumo wasted no time, issuing orders for his soldiers to conduct a thorough search of the surroundings. Their methodical search led to the discovery and subsequent arrest of Dr. Hogback, who had taken refuge within his mansion.
Meanwhile, Perona grappled with the harsh reality of witnessing her captain’s tragic demise.
“Moria-sama…
Mo..a-sama…
Mo..-sama…
Mo..-sama!”
Her shock was palpable. It wasn’t until she regained her composure that she realized the urgency of slipping away discreetly from the scene.
“I~… See you~ Little lady~…” Kizaru shifted his focus to the perspiring Perona attempting a discreet exit. “Uh?~ Get out! and spare me from wasting time!~”
Despite her efforts to blend into the chaos, the Admiral astutely detected her presence.
Overwhelmed with fear, Perona mumbled, “Oops!… Oops!…
I’m still young!
I’m only 23 years!
A girl like me can’t possibly survive in Impel Down!
NOOOOOO!”
Summoning her courage, she reminded herself, “Come on, Perona, you’re strong!
Despite being an Admiral, he’s just a man!
My ability should work on him!”
With a deep breath, she turned around and, with a subtle gesture of her right hand, directed three ghosts.
“Phew…
Your title almost gave me a heart attack.
Even if you’re a Marine Admiral, there’s nothing to fear.
With my ability, there hasn’t been a single person who could stand without kneeling at my feet!
Horohorohoro…
I really wonder what a Marine Admiral will look like in a negative state!”
Before the words could settle, she dashed towards Kizaru with a graceful leap,
“Negative Hollow!”
Three spirals cut through the air, heading straight for Kizaru.
However, he made no attempt to resist or evade. He simply watched as the negative spirits struck him, remaining unmoved.
Then, in the next moment…
-Fewwwwth-
“Ne-ga-tive! Ne-ga-tive! Ne-ga-tive!”
Kizaru’s posture shifted under the weight of negativity, his usual composed demeanor replaced by a momentary darkness.
“I don’t know why, but suddenly I’d like to dance…”
In the blink of an eye, Kizaru swiftly regained his composure, rising effortlessly from the ground.
His hands, upon close inspection, betrayed a hint of contemplation before breaking into a satisfied smile. “Oh, this ability… it’s quite intriguing!”
“WHAAAAAT?! How did you recover so quickly!” Perona’s disbelief was palpable.
Acting swiftly, she summoned two additional negative ghosts to traverse through Kizaru’s body!
As expected…
Kizaru knelt once again!
The surroundings seemed to absorb the negativity, creating an almost oppressive atmosphere. He mumbled, “I suddenly feel like resigning and becoming a babysitter…” However, the effect dissipated in a mere second.
“What on earth were these peculiar desires!” Perona was utterly bewildered.
“Why can’t I grasp your negative points at all?” The perplexity in her voice mirrored the confusion evident on her face.
