0.0000001% Demon King - 0DK Chapter 49: A Human's Warfare (1) (Part 2)
Her Demon King’s castle as a Sovereign was several times larger, so this didn’t surprise her.
“Kyahhh!”
A scream echoed from the back of the castle. Rushing over, they found Soccu barely clinging to the edge of a trap.
“There are traps too.”
“Demon King! Please save me!”
Soccu cried out tearfully. Sinclair extended a hand to her.
“Take my hand. I’ll pull you up.”
“Th-Thank you…”
“Hey. Wait.”
Karos tried to stop her, but it was too late. As Sinclair grabbed Soccu’s hand, holy energy backlash erupted. Soccu screamed and hastily pulled her hand away.
“Kyah! Ah. Ah?”
Freed, she fell into the trap. With her scream echoing, Bathesia muttered in disbelief.
“How does someone with wings fall into a trap?”
“I don’t know. She’ll probably climb out on her own since it’s empty.”
Karos rubbed his forehead. The luxuriousness of the imperial palace, the size comparable to a territory, and even traps.
“…This is too much.”
The Demon King’s command is absolute. He was reminded of that anew.
* * *
“This is amazing.”
Lillis murmured while inspecting the transformed Demon King’s castle with Karos.
“The cave’s size is the same, but only the space inside has expanded like this. I’ve heard of it, but… it’s hard to believe.”
The inside of the Demon King’s castle was as large as a territory, but from the outside, it still looked like an ordinary cave. Lillis couldn’t believe her eyes.
“Is this really a skill?”
“That’s why remodeling is one of the most respected jobs after Demon Kings.”
Compressing and expanding space, architectural skills, and remodeling—all were needed for this work. Difficult, but a highly respected profession.
“Still, I didn’t expect it to be this much.”
Karos was also overwhelmed. The size was so vast that even finding his room was daunting, more confusing than pleasant.
“How am I supposed to see it all…”
“There is a manual, though.”
Lillis pulled out the manual. Karos grimaced at its thickness.
“When will I read that? Just put it away for now.”
“Yes, sir.” Lillis put the manual back.
“Before you returned, I identified a few rooms. Would you like to check your office first?”
“It’s better than doing nothing. Lead the way.”
“Yes, sir.”
Karos followed Lillis to the door at the end of the first floor. Upon entering, Karos laughed in disbelief.
“Even this place is ridiculously large.”
The office alone was almost as big as his previous cave. The furniture was high-quality wood, and the sofa felt soft, indicating top-tier fabric.
Karos sat in the chair.
“How has it changed?”
“There are five floors in total, with five rooms on each floor. The central plaza is roughly the same size as Irina’s territory, I believe.”
“Twenty-five rooms. How big are they?”
“I assume they are about the same size as this office.”
“…Ridiculously large.”
Karos clicked his tongue and motioned with his chin.
“What kinds of rooms are there? They’re not all just regular rooms, right?”
“We’ve identified five specific types.”
A training room that absorbs all magic and remains indestructible.
A confinement room that blocks holy power and prevents its use.
A room temporarily connected to the Demon World to supply demonic energy.
A forge.
And a torture chamber.
“There are quite a few.”
Karos was dumbfounded.
“What about the rest of the rooms?”
“They seem ordinary. We haven’t fully checked inside yet.”
“…How much do you think this all cost?”
“Probably an amount even Bathesia wouldn’t spend lightly…”
The space was as big as a territory, with at least five special rooms. It wasn’t a price Karos could afford.
Karos tapped the table with a displeased look.
“I can’t use this carelessly.”
All of this was free because of the command authority. If not for his acquaintance with Ruberia, the situation could have been chaotic.
The general descriptions were vague, so the exact effects were unknown. The risk of command authority was now crystal clear to Karos.
“Direct Bathesia to the training room, and if Sinclair wants to interact with Soccu or the slime, tell her to go to the confinement room. Assign rooms as they see fit.”
It was free, so there was no reason not to use it. Karos gave orders to Lillis and waved his hand irritably.
“Give me the manual. I don’t want to die stepping on a trap.”
Lillis obediently handed over the manual.

Despite various incidents, they gradually adapted to the new Demon King’s castle. They learned to avoid traps after the first few times.
“Kyahhh!”
“Soccu, you’ve stepped into a trap again.”
“Why does she keep falling into traps?”
There are always exceptions. Bathesia chuckled and headed towards the source of the scream, while Lillis approached Karos.
“Demon King, you have a visitor.”
“Bring them in.”
Lillis nodded and left. Soon after, Irina appeared with a reluctant expression.
“…I recall visiting just a week ago. What’s with this change?”
“I expanded the house.”
“It seems larger than my territory. Is this the power of a Demon King?”
Karos nodded. Irina looked around the castle, overwhelmed.
“…I’ve truly joined hands with a bizarre being.”
“I think the same. So, is there a reason for your visit?”
“Yes.”
Irina pulled out a letter from her pocket.
“A letter from the neighboring territory.”
“Good timing.”
They were getting used to the new castle. The mercenaries were also adapting to the new village. Their forces were ready.
“Why do you look so disgusted?”
“…Read it.”
Irina handed the letter to Karos with a grim face.
“Detaining the rightful lord and arrogantly taking over as a woman is unacceptable. If you don’t restore everything, you will be punished? Typical nonsense.”
“Read a bit more.”
“From here, it’s just absurd. Your evil deeds and whatnot. Colluding with sinister forces and bringing in monsters. Standard accusations…”
Karos’ sneer faded.
“Wait. Colluding with sinister forces and bringing in monsters?”
“Yes.”
Irina’s face grew complex.
“They’re talking about you, Demon King.”
