A Frontline Soldier Awakened as a Gamer In The War! - FSAGW Chapter 115 (Part 2)
If it weren’t for the encounter with that strange entity through the game, it could have turned out that way.
Kaiyan gave Blacky a gentle pat and then returned with Rieka outside of the dimension space.
“Rieka, does this place seem like a dimension that exist normally or is it like a pocket dimension?”
[Yes! If it’s a dimension that exists, there’s no way I wouldn’t know about it, but Havemime is a name I’ve never heard of!]
“Is that so? Hmm…”
If Rieka, the player’s assistant, didn’t recognize it, then it probably wasn’t a different dimension.
“When we go outside of this cave, we’ll find out for sure if this is really not the Eunasia Continent.”
Kaiyan carried Rieka and walked toward the passage on the opposite side of the square, glancing at the picture behind them.
‘A person with black hair…’
[Kaiyan, it’s outside!]
“…Is that right? So, does that mean it’s not a dimension?”
After passing through the square and walking for 30 minutes along the passage, they finally emerged from the cave.
Outside, the forest was filled with lush trees, and the scent of grass in the air made it look like an ordinary forest. However, the cold aura he had sensed inside the cave was still present here.
“Well, at least it’s a forest. If it’s a forest, going back should be easy. Let’s set our destination as Lumbanium and see the way…”
After taking a few steps under the trees, he closed his eyes and tried to think of the path to Lumbanium, but…
“…it’s not there?”
The sensation ringing in his mind indicated that there was no way to Lumbanium from here. Not that he didn’t know or didn’t understand, but it explicitly stated that there was no way.
“Why is this…!”
He frantically thought of Carsia Estate this time, but once again, the sensation was the same – there was no path leading there.
“This is unbelievable!”
Could it be that they had truly moved to a different dimension, as Canien had mentioned – Havemime?
“All right! Eunasia Continent! If this is really the Eunasia Continent…”
If this place was indeed the Eunasia Continent, then when he thought of the Eunasia Continent, the sensation should tell him he was already there. If it didn’t…
“…”
“Why is this happening?”
[What’s wrong?]
“Rieka, something’s terribly wrong. It seems like this might not be the Eunasia Continent.”
The sensation in his mind was just like when he thought of Carsia Estate, which left him with only two possibilities: something had gone wrong with the B-tier title of Forest Predator, or this place was genuinely not the Eunasia Continent.
“If only Canien had…”
He sighed deeply and slumped to the ground, and Rieka patted his shoulder to comfort him.
[Kaiyan, please cheer up! There must be a way to return!]
[Yes! If this is a dimensional pocket, there must be a way back! Even if it mimics dimensions, it’s not a real dimension! And even someone as powerful as Canien can’t open dimensional doors at will!]
“Then… alright! Let’s look for a way out.”
Kaiyan didn’t fully understand Rieka’s words, but what he was sure of was that there was a way to return from this place.
While Canien was undoubtedly powerful, he was still just a creature with tentacle attacks and spreading attacks. There had to be limitations to what such a being could accomplish.
With newfound hope, he got up from his spot and closely examined the surrounding forest. He wanted to find any small clues that might help identify exactly where they were.
“Hmm… is this place a mountain, perhaps? It’s not very high, but it does have a slight incline. Rieka, let’s go up into the trees!”
With a light push of his feet, his body floated into the air, and he extended his right hand to grab the highest branch of a tree and climbed up.
From the top of the tallest tree, he could see a vast expanse of countless trees.
“It’s more like a forest than a mountain, to be honest.”
Extensive to the point where there was no end in sight.
He turned his head in the opposite direction just to check, but there were just as many trees standing guard there.
“If it’s like this, I won’t be able to get a sense of where to go. Oh! Rieka, what if I use my title to find places with people?”
[People? Oh… is that okay? But are there people here?]
“It can’t hurt to try. Just give me a moment.”
With his eyes closed, he thought of the nearest person as his target.
“…None. Well… it’s funny to think there would be people in a place like this.”
As expected, there were none. At this point, it was safe to say that Forest Predator had no use while in this place.
Since everything he tried came back as not being found.
“Sigh… wandering around blindly… huh? Monsters? It’s strange to call them monsters…”
[Where are they? There are monsters here too?]
To be cautious, he expanded his senses widely in the vicinity and detected an odd energy.
However, the problem was that this sensed energy was not mana, strange energy that pervaded the atmosphere. It was another unknown energy.
“Let’s go check it out. Monsters or whatever, they might know something about this place.”
With Rieka in his arms, he stepped on the tree branches and headed towards the place where the strange energy was felt. About five minutes into their movement, as the distance shortened, the strange energy became more detailed.
But this sensation felt somewhat familiar, as if he had experienced it somewhere before.
“…What is it? The wind? Should I call it the energy of the wind?”
[The wind?]
“Yeah, it feels like an energy similar to the wind.”
A purer sensation compared to magical winds.
Just sensing this energy made him feel refreshed and uplifted.
“Ah!”
At that moment, a fact passed through his mind like a breeze.
He raised his right hand and brought it close to his heart, feeling the pure energy of fire.
“Yes, this is it.”
