The power of death was descending, and evil magic was rampaging!

In the town below the castle, life was being extinguished at a terrifying pace. Countless black flies blotted out the sky, transforming into the most dreadful of reapers. Close behind them came the fog — thick, choking mist drifting in from the lake, spreading across the entire Ravenclaw domain.

Within that fog, Evan saw countless horrors — monsters, and Dementors as well.

These Dark creatures, which should have been in Azkaban, were now here.

They swept through the streets in swarms, shrieking as they hurtled into one house after another, brutally slaughtering those who remained.

Soon, death became the only melody left. Not a single living soul could be seen in the once-bustling town.

There was only death and tangible despair; even cries for help were not heard.

In just a few minutes, tens of thousands of lives had been taken.

This was the power of the evil god, the most terrifying Dark Magic in existence.

There was no need for his true form to descend; merely unleashing his creations was enough to annihilate countless lives.

The Muggles were granted no chance to resist, not even time to scream, before they were cut down.

The remaining wizards and warriors were gathering towards the castle, putting up a desperate resistance, but their fall was only a matter of time.

Evan paid little attention to the apocalyptic scene below; these people were already dead, and saving them was pointless, and he couldn’t do it anyway. Under the power of Ravenclaw’s Diadem, he didn’t even have the thought of saving these lives.

Evan was now completely emotionless, looking down upon the world like a true god.

His gaze followed the souls of the innocent lives killed by the monsters, carried back to the Veil of Death by the black flies.

Directly above the Veil of Death, the shadowy outline of the evil god rose into the air.

He was devouring the souls brought by the black flies, his silhouette growing ever more solid, his power steadily increasing.

This evil god was none other than the abomination born of Herpo the Foul — the amalgamation of the eyeball, the body, and the brain that Evan and his companions had once destroyed. His exact shape was difficult to describe, but the most striking feature was unmistakable: the enormous eye set in the center of his form.

Yes — there was only one enormous eye, not a pair!

The vast eyeball resembled a perfect sphere, embedded grotesquely in the creature’s body.

Beneath the phantom eye, the rest of the form looked like a misshapen vessel, existing solely to support and contain it.

It was identical — or nearly so — to the evil god’s body Evan had seen before. He had never witnessed that horrifying form in its entirety, but he remembered enough: countless mouths, writhing tentacles, staring eyes, and organs that looked like grotesque fusions of deep-sea creatures.

Undoubtedly, this was the evil god transformed from Herpo the Foul, the God of Death.

His body had been divided into three parts by Salazar Slytherin, sealed in three different locations, with only his soul remaining beyond the Veil of Death.

Seeing the phantom in mid-air, all his previous conjectures were confirmed.

The world beyond the Veil of Death was a realm created by Herpo the Foul himself.

“A world created by Herpo the Foul?”

Under the influence of Ravenclaw’s Diadem, Evan’s mind moved with terrifying clarity, instantly seizing upon the contradictions hidden among all the clues he possessed.

From what could be seen now, the Veil had been sealed here long ago, guarded generation after generation by witches and wizards of the Ravenclaw family. That alone proved that Herpo the Foul had already been defeated by the ancient wizards.

But no one had ever been able to kill him!

One must not forget that Herpo the Foul was not merely transformed into an evil god — he was also the inventor of Horcruxes.

He had created the first Horcrux in the world!

Without destroying the Horcrux first, he could never truly be killed.

Thus, the ancient wizards sealed Herpo the Foul within the world inside the Veil of Death. If that was the case, then how was one to explain the later event in which Slytherin dismembered Herpo the Foul’s body into three parts for study? Did it mean that, when the ancients sealed him away, they had imprisoned his soul and his body separately?

The soul was sealed within the world beyond the Veil of Death, while the body remained behind, hidden in his old lair in the mortal world.

During one of his expeditions, the young Slytherin discovered Herpo the Foul’s body.

A weakened evil god was naturally no match for Slytherin and was split into three parts after being defeated.

This was the first possibility!

There was, however, another. Perhaps, when the sealing was first carried out, both soul and body had been imprisoned within the Veil of Death. Slytherin then used the Twin-Serpent Staff to enter the Veil itself — just as Dumbledore had done before.

With a spatial anchor in place, the power of the Twin-Serpent Staff could tear through the barriers of space and grant entry into the world created by the evil god.

Inside the Veil of Death, Slytherin defeated the sealed Herpo.

But even then, he had no means of killing Herpo the Foul without first destroying the Horcrux.

Therefore, he could only leave Herpo’s soul behind within the Veil, while cutting the body into three parts and bringing them back for study.

This was the second possibility!

Evan had never considered this question before, and based on the current situation, he leaned more towards the first possibility.

There was no proof — only instinct.

If the first possibility was correct, then everything fell neatly into place.

But then what were the red plaques Evan had found after destroying each part of the evil god’s body?

Could those objects be connected to Herpo the Foul’s Horcrux?

Herpo the Foul had hidden his Horcrux somewhere, protected by powerful magic, and only these three plaques could unlock that magic.

Neither the ancient wizards nor Slytherin had ever found these plaques, because they had never destroyed the evil god’s body the way Evan had.

And there was a good reason for that: without destroying the Horcrux, killing Herpo was impossible. Destroying his body alone achieved nothing — worse, it allowed him to regenerate and gain a new body, like Voldemort’s resurrection.

That would only make matters far more complicated.

And suddenly, Evan understood!

In the present world, they had destroyed the evil god’s eye, body, and brain with almost no obstacles. The ancient wizards and Slytherin had been perfectly capable of doing the same — yet they had not. There was something very wrong about that.

Could it be that after they destroyed the evil god’s body in the mortal world, Herpo recovered a new body within the Veil of Death?!

If that were true, it would be disastrous!

What they had thought was weakening the evil god had instead made the abomination born of Herpo the Foul even stronger.

Indeed, combine a Horcrux with an evil god, and the result would be trouble of the worst kind!

And then it struck Evan at once: didn’t that mean the danger facing Dumbledore inside the Veil of Death had increased dramatically!
