Helmut: The Forsaken Child - H.F.C Chapter 306 (Part 2):
“Hey, you’re going to Sian’s house, right? I’m coming too.”
“I’d like to join as well.”
Asuka joined in as if it were natural, and Charlotte also raised her hand.
Now that they had returned from the Forest of Roots, Charlotte, who might contact Renosa, was a person of interest and naturally had to come along.
“I’ve already sent word that you’d be coming too.”
Then, Igrelle suddenly interjected. Dressed in form-fitting, luxurious travel clothes, she looked like a noblewoman in disguise.
Her flawless white skin, striking hair, and sharp features stood out.
“A human village? Sounds fun.”
Igrelle, who had been engrossed in the new game of imitating humans since yesterday, had even done some studying.
She had watched the crystal ball Heike had given her, which contained images of a noblewoman.
Her movements were now completely natural. Her demeanor and posture were close to those of an elegant noblewoman.
“Shall I try seducing a human man? A human village… how intriguing.”
“You can’t go around doing that in someone else’s village.”
Sian grumbled. Elaga said sullenly,
[Don’t cause trouble and just stay here.]
“You too, Elaga. Wouldn’t it be troublesome if the magic wore off in the middle of the village?”
Sian, uneasy about these two dangerous demonic beasts coming along, expressed his disapproval. After all, it was his hometown. If their identities were exposed, he wouldn’t know how to explain it.
“Don’t worry, as long as they don’t get too excited and release their demonic energy, the transformation won’t wear off. My magic isn’t that flimsy.”
Heike winked confidently. Her gaze shifted to Igrelle.
“Even if you’ve transformed, the qualities of your body haven’t changed, so you can fight without using demonic energy. But be careful. Even a light tap with your bare hands could kill a person. Taking a human life in the human world is strictly prohibited. Even if your opponent is an enemy, you must restrain yourself.”
Igrelle burst into laughter.
“Don’t worry. I prefer leaving my enemies alive to suffer rather than killing them outright.”
[What a personality.]
Elaga clicked its tongue.
Although it was long ago, Igrelle had fought countless demonic beasts before becoming the ruler of the southern region.
Though she might appear like a carefree, curious demonic beast, Igrelle’s true nature was that of a cruel and overwhelming predator.
“Well, there won’t be any reason for a fight to break out in our village.”
Sian glanced nervously at Igrelle and Elaga. But the matter had already been decided, regardless of his opinion.
“Wah, I want to go too.”
Hearing about spirit mages, Sarah wanted to come along, but she didn’t have a reason to join since she wasn’t close to Sian.
Plus, it would be difficult for Sian’s family to accommodate so many guests out of the blue.
Susan comforted her.
“We have our own path to follow now, don’t we?”
Susan and Sarah both knew that they were somewhat of a burden to Helmut. Having left the Forest of Roots, they had decided to find their own way.
They planned to secure their family’s hidden wealth through Antiol and then move to Baden to settle down. Sarah would also begin preparing to enroll in one of Baden’s academies.
After a moment of contemplation, Helmut wrote a letter. A letter addressed to Ethan Kudrow.
“When you meet him, tell him Helmut sent you. And tell him I’m doing well.”
Ethan Kudrow wouldn’t remember Helmut’s handwriting, so Archmage Antiol’s guarantee and Sarah’s display of swordsmanship would serve as proof.
Although he hadn’t taught her Darien’s swordsmanship, Sarah’s style resembled Helmut’s. Helmut had thoroughly taught her the basics.
‘Ethan Kudrow doesn’t know what happened, so he should be reliable.’
That’s why Helmut had been able to write the letter.
Susan asked with a gentle smile,
“So, this is goodbye?”
She had regained her vitality after leaving the Forest of Roots. Susan’s complexion was bright as she planned her second life.
“I’ll visit Baden soon. I hope you’ll be well.”
“Stay healthy, Helmut. Thank you for everything.”
“I… thank you too.”
Helmut meant it. Without Susan and Sarah, he wouldn’t have recovered as quickly as he had.
Susan smiled faintly. Tears welled up in Sarah’s eyes.
“Helmut, when will we see each other again?”
“When you enter the academy and become the top student.”
“Then I’ll see you soon.”
He didn’t know where her confidence came from. But certainly, having seen Sarah’s skills, Helmut thought it was a possibility.
“Elaga, you’re always welcome to visit.”
“I’ll brush your fur! You’re so cute right now.”
[We’ll see, once this kid can take care of himself.]
It felt like something that might take quite a long time. Elaga had chosen his side. It figured that while Susan and Sarah would settle safely with their newfound wealth, Helmut, with the temple as his enemy, needed Elaga more.
And if Helmut were to go berserk, Elaga was the only one who could stop him.
“Goodbye.”
“Everyone, stay healthy and well!”
And so, one parting was complete.
