Helmut: The Forsaken Child - H.F.C Chapter 92 (Part 1):
“Taking exams?”
“No, studying is something you do regularly, not just during exams. I usually spend my time either here or there. But why?”
It was a statement befitting a top student. Alea pondered Helmut’s question with a hint of suspicion.
Alea wondered if Helmut was adapting well, but Helmut hardly ever asked about Alea’s daily life.
He wouldn’t understand even if he asked about magic. He seems to be bothered by followers these days, but there are none who chase him into the dormitory.
Rumors had circulated when Alea became roommates with Helmut, he expected more headaches, but these days he rarely encountered Alea’s followers.
“How about going out together if you have time on the holiday?”
It’s not hard to ask. It’s hard to get consent.
Sian’s persistent attempts to involve Alea remained a mystery to Helmut, but he didn’t particularly care whether Alea agreed or not.
If you put Alea and Asuka together, there will only be fights. It was hard to imagine the two getting along well.
However, Alea didn’t decline as expected and seemed to consider the question as if there were room for agreement.
“Where are we going?”
“Asuka said he would pay us a meal.”
At that moment, his expression distorted. Alea glared at Helmut with a cold look. It had been a long time since he had seen such a look from him.
“You’re not just suggesting that we go along with that crazy dog, are you? Inserting me into that mess?”
Although it wasn’t clear why going with Asuka was so unpleasant, Alea seemed quite angry.
Helmut decided to clarify the misunderstanding.
“It’s not just him; Sian will also be going with us. It’s because of what he did for Asuka last time.”
“Whoever goes, I won’t go! Don’t ever offer me that again.”
Alea, who was frowning, seemed very upset and slammed the door. The conversation was cut off.
Helmut had a strange realization.
‘Is it okay if it’s just me…?’
Well, it wouldn’t be awkward because the two of them had been out together.
She was a roommate and had tutored him.
Thinking about it, he heard that if you get good results through tutoring, you should give something to the teacher. It doesn’t necessarily have to be money.
Even if the tutoring fee was expensive, Alea returned half of it.
If Helmut had repaid it, not at all.
‘I owe Alea.’
He didn’t think she would demand a significant payment.
As long as Helmut didn’t refuse to help with magical experiments or the like, he would be fine.
Helmut suddenly realized that he didn’t know much about Alea.
Except for one thing, a secret that few knew.
‘When is Alea’s birthday?’
He didn’t know that either. It wasn’t a question he could ask right now. Sian would probably know.
‘Should I take him to the Kudrow Mansion?’
Although he hadn’t been told, Alea had a secret. She wasn’t a commoner, yet she kept it hidden.
Alea had refined tastes, and as she openly admitted, she was wealthy. She frequented the most expensive shops in Baden without hesitation.
Ethan’s mansion is literally aristocratic. It’s old-fashioned and has a charm, so Alea would surely appreciate it.
The food is delicious, and Ethan will be happy if Alea visits.
In fact, being close to Alea was something almost everyone envied, except for guys like Sian and Asuka.
That even surpassed the fact that Alea was superficially a commoner.
‘Anyway, it’s not happening this holiday.’
That was for sure.

Helmut finished preparing to go to the training ground and descended below.
As if he had been waiting, Sian appeared at the entrance. It was like a spirit is watching over you.
“What, Alea said no?”
Someone appeared next to Sian at the entrance. It was Asuka. It becomes common to see the two of them together.
“Well, did you think he would come? Look at that cold expression on his face. It seems like he’s going to freeze us to death.”
“When I saw it, I thought you were the problem.”
“Do you want to hang out with that guy on holidays while he’s bothering you with some creepy magic?”
“What’s wrong with that? It’s fun when there are a lot of people.”
“If you want to call, call someone else.”
“That’s a bit… You’re the one who’s going to pay.”
“Well, that’s true.”
Sian suppressed a chuckle. There probably weren’t many guys who wanted to eat what the crazy guy from the swordsmanship department was offering.
There wouldn’t be many people brave enough to join this unique group of people.
‘It would be a fantastic combination if Alea joined.’
In fact, Sian was intrigued by Alea’s peculiar attitude towards Helmut.
A guy who doesn’t have a proper conversation with anyone communicates somewhat normally with Helmut. He was curious about the reason.
Alea was a mage. Mages are like frogs, so they don’t obey hierarchical relationships.
It probably wasn’t just because Helmut was strong. He was curious about what had happened between them since they became connected.
Sian, a spirit mage, was also curious like any other mage. In this case, the subject of curiosity was the relationship between the two.
‘It’s strange that Alea accepted a roommate, but it’s even stranger that they get along.’
He had intended to observe them closely, but it didn’t seem to be going as planned. Alea was being difficult.
Asuka’s gaze fell on Helmut.
“You seem to have gotten close to Andro?”
Asuka asked unexpectedly. Helmut was more surprised that Asuka remembered his classmates’ names.
“Not only him, but I also looked at the posture of other guys.”
“I see.”
It was quite bothersome. But thanks to Patricia, who had praised him for his discerning eye and asked him to look at other friends as well, he had no choice.
He regretted not just saying something vague.
“But why didn’t you look at me?”
He had been ticking since a while ago, and that was the reason. Helmut replied simply.
“You didn’t even line up.”
“You should prioritize me first. Hey, honestly, those guys pretended not to know you just the other day, and now you want to look at them?”
