How the Regressed Munchkin Chews Up the Tower - H.R.M.C.U.T Chapter 18 (Part 2):
In a place like this Tower, such ruthlessness was probably necessary to survive.
Since she didn’t feel much aversion to killing, hunting monsters likely wouldn’t be too difficult either.
The question was whether they could actually take one down.
“You saw how I swung my sword earlier, right? I can just *slash-slash* through monsters too, so don’t chicken out already,” Ishia said with a hearty *Hahaha!* to reassure them.
Jihoo nodded slowly. “Y-Yes…”
How on earth could that timid, small boy fight so well?
A flicker of curiosity arose, but she decided to address that later.
What was important now wasn’t that, but the monsters.
“So, it should be around here.”
Ishia unfolded the map she’d received from Mullen and checked her surroundings.
The area marked as the Sulfur Deer habitat was nearby.
“Ah, over there.”
She found a spot that matched the map’s terrain exactly.
Ishia, Park Jihoo, and the other three players cautiously approached.
“That must be a Sulfur Deer,” a slightly frightened voice said from behind her.
It was the only female player among the new recruits.
She hadn’t obtained any notable items in the tutorial layer, but she’d acquired the 『Healing [E]』 skill, hadn’t she?
‘A healer is the most important role in party hunting.’
Recalling the online games she’d played before entering the Tower, Ishia had gladly accepted her.
“They don’t look *that* strong.”
“Yeah, I thought monsters would look ferocious, but it’s just a slightly big deer.”
The other two were men.
One carried a shield, and the other wielded a long spear.
Since they’d each obtained an item in the tutorial layer, they likely had some skill.
That’s what Ishia figured.
“Still, don’t let your guard down. I heard you need to be at least level 7 to take one on alone.”
Ishia relayed Mullen’s warning.
“L-Level 7?”
The group’s faces paled at her words.
They didn’t know exactly how high that was, but as level 1 players, they were clearly no match.
The two men who’d been dismissive of the Sulfur Deer moments ago now looked tense.
“It’s okay. I also heard that five level 1 players should be enough to take one down. Plus, we have a healer, so we should manage.”
“Hmm.”
“Is that information really reliable?”
“Look at the map. It’s accurate, isn’t it?”
True enough.
They’d navigated the wilderness outside the city using just the map.
The information seemed credible to some extent.
Still, it didn’t ease their minds completely.
“Another thing to note is that we absolutely have to take them on one at a time. We need to target the ones on the outskirts, away from the herd.”
“Got it.”
Everyone nodded.
They were a group of five.
Even if a Sulfur Deer was level 7, with this number, it felt like they could handle it.
Hadn’t they seen Ishia and Jihoo’s skills?
If those two could perform even half as well as they did back then, it seemed doable.
“…You’ll all stick together, right?”
“Of course.”
“We will.”
They’d worried the group might get scared and back out upon seeing the monster, but thankfully, that wasn’t the case.
“Then let’s plan our strategy.”
Fortunately, the group’s balance wasn’t bad.
They had a tank with a shield, a healer, and dealers with a sword, spear, and gauntlet.
It would’ve been nice to have someone with ranged attacks, but this should be enough to take down a single Sulfur Deer.
“Since I’m probably the most agile, I’ll lure one over.”
The Sulfur Deer on the outskirts were in groups of two or three at most.
Occasionally, one would be isolated, so she’d target one of those.
“Are you sure you’ll be okay?”
Everyone asked with concern, but no one stepped forward to take her place.
Ishia didn’t blame them.
They were all scared, just like her.
“I started this, so I’ll take responsibility.”
She was the one who’d gathered them.
Having convinced them to hunt together, sending someone else out front didn’t sit right with her.
“I’ll be back. Get ready here.”
Drawing 『Crimson Lotus [E]』, Ishia took careful steps toward the Sulfur Deer.
