How the Regressed Munchkin Chews Up the Tower - H.R.M.C.U.T Chapter 3 (Part 1):
“Grrrrrk.”
A gurgling sound of blood rose from Jin Taeho’s throat.
“Tch.”
Yujin clicked his tongue at the sight.
He’d intended to snap the bastard’s neck cleanly, but his frail, undeveloped body wasn’t quite up to the task.
Well, it didn’t matter anyway.
This scum wasn’t going to escape death either way.
Yujin drove his fist into Jin Taeho’s face, the man’s eyes clouded with pain and confusion.
Crunch-!
The sensation of a shattered nose bone traveled through Yujin’s knuckles.
The way Jin Taeho collapsed—flop-—was almost comical.
Even then, the man seemed to try saying something, but that was impossible.
How could he speak with his throat crushed?
Yujin lifted his foot and stomped on Jin Taeho’s blood-smeared, writhing face.
Thud- Thud- Thuuud-!
Once, twice, three times.
The surroundings had gone quiet.
The men trading heated punches and curses.
The women screaming for help.
Even those struggling to maintain composure and assess the situation.
All of them remained frozen in place — mouths agape or lips pressed tightly shut — watching Yujin’s actions.
Their faces were uniformly stained with fear.
Yujin felt their gazes but didn’t stop.
He’d never been one to care about others’ opinions.
No matter what expressions they wore or what thoughts they harbored.
He focused solely on crushing Jin Taeho like an insect.
“Hoo…”
Only after stomping the man’s face over fifty times did he stop.
Drip… drip… drip…
Blood from the unrecognizable, pulped head soaked the floor.
Jin Taeho, one of the Ten Evils, had died without ever understanding why.
“Goddamn, that feels refreshing.”
Confirming Jin Taeho’s breath had stopped, Yujin stepped back, a satisfied expression on his face.
It felt as if a decade’s worth of indigestion had vanished completely.
“Nine left to go.”
At his breezy words, everyone flinched- in shock.
Yujin was referring to the Ten Evils, but to them, it sounded otherwise.
Fearing they might be next, they backed away, desperate to distance themselves from him.
The men who’d been bonding with their fists were especially quick to retreat.
That’s when it happened.
“My, my! This is a first!”
A voice rang out, filling the Tutorial Floor.
Bright and cheerful, it was utterly out of place in the current atmosphere.
‘About time.’
Yujin knew exactly who the voice belonged to.
The Administrator.
Among the thirteen Administrators, this was [Didaskalia], tasked with overseeing all Tutorial Floors.
As its voice echoed, the gazes of the 99—no, now 98—people that had been fixed on Yujin shifted toward the source.
‘Still got that disgustingly creepy face.’
Pastel blue hair cascading down to the waist.
A pristine white cloth covering the torso, unmarred by a speck of dust.
A pair of beautiful feathered wings sprouting from the back.
And a faint, glowing halo.
From the description alone, one might think an angel had descended, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Oh my, what’s that?”
“A monster!”
“Arghhh!”
The reactions of those who saw Didaskalia’s face were unanimous.
Something about its face—whatever it looked like—stirred primal fear and revulsion in humans just by looking at it.
Despite resembling a human in form, it had that effect.
Grin-.
Didaskalia smiled at the sight.
Between its lips, sharp teeth glinted, caked with red blood and bits of flesh.
Gazing down at the terrified players as if savoring the scene, it suddenly- turned to Yujin.
“But you. Killing someone out of the blue like that. My, my! What’s the story here? An old acquaintance? Your parents’ sworn enemy? Or maybe the CEO who swindled your money and ran?”
Its feigned shock was laughable.
It was probably cackling- inwardly, reveling in the situation.
The Administrators of the Tower, as Yujin knew, were creatures as bloodthirsty and mad as Apocalypse itself.
No doubt it was thrilled to witness an unexpected killing.
‘Look at those wings twitching. Disgusting.’
Yujin glanced up at Didaskalia and shrugged-.
“Well, I had my reasons.”
His tone suggested it wasn’t a big deal.
At that, Didaskalia couldn’t hold back and burst into laughter.
“Pfft hahaha! You’re really something! This is gonna make things a lot more interesting!”
Clapping its hands as it laughed, Yujin felt a surge of murderous intent, tempted to crush its head like he did Jin Taeho’s.
‘Gotta hold back.’
It wasn’t possible now.
He’d need to reach at least the 90th floor’s level to even attempt it.
Until then, he had no choice but to endure their repulsive behavior.
“You there. Uh, let’s see… Sung Yujin, player?”
It called his name precisely.
Administrators could view players’ 【Status Window】 data recorded in the 【Akasha System】, making it possible.
But its expression twisted in confusion.
“Weird. Why can’t I see everything?”
Tilting its head, it alternated between looking at Yujin and the empty air.
‘Oh, that’s a relief.’
It seemed the 【Akasha System】 had obscured some of his information.
If it had seen his trait and skills, things could’ve gotten messy.
Fortunately, even this Administrator couldn’t access all of Yujin’s data.
Though the reason remained unknown.
“Hmm, I’ll have to look into this later.”
