How the Regressed Munchkin Chews Up the Tower - H.R.M.C.U.T Chapter 31 (Part 2):
He currently had a grand total of *five* 『Coins』.
Even if he pooled everything he’d earned in his first run, he might scrape together 100,000 at best.
This was *ten times* that amount.
“They didn’t make *this* to be bought.”
The performance justified the price, but it was exorbitant beyond reason.
Even with all the knowledge he’d accumulated, acquiring it seemed nearly impossible.
And the shop was brimming with items equal to or surpassing the 『Flame Emperor [S]』.
Their prices, too, were laughably absurd.
The skills were no different.
“Even 『Blink [S]』 is here.”
A skill identical to the 『Blink [E]』 he’d obtained in the tutorial floor.
But this was its fully evolved, perfected form.
No usage limits, no distance restrictions.
It could take him anywhere—from the 1st Floor to the 100th—in an instant.
“Broken.”
That was the only way to describe it.
And the price was just as broken.
“Two million.”
Twice the cost of the 『Flame Emperor [S]』.
The shop was littered with skills like that.
But the real gem was the traits.
Things Yujin had never even heard of.
『Heavenly Martial Body [S]』, 『Master of Mana [S]』, 『Sword God [S]』, 『Supercomputational Intellect [S]』, and more.
Just their names hinted at their power.
A single one of these could probably let him slap Apocalypse across the face.
Of course, their prices were beyond imagination.
“It’s like a luxury department store.”
A place where common folk could only window-shop before leaving.
The 【Akasha System 2.0】 probably didn’t expect anyone to actually buy these.
If that was the case, Yujin’s realistic targets were at the bottom of the list.
He scrolled down frantically, and more reasonably priced items appeared.
“Cheap.”
Among them was 『Black Wing [C]』.
Priced at around 150 『Coins』.
That was manageable.
No, considering its potential, it was a steal.
If Citadel had offered 『Black Wing [C]』 at that price in his first run, buyers would’ve lined up for hundreds of meters.
“Nothing I can buy right now, though.”
With only five 『Coins』 to his name, it was a miracle he’d amassed that much in just three days since being summoned to the Tower.
But it was nowhere near enough.
Not even enough to buy 『Earth Dragon’s Blood [D]』.
“For now, I’ll have to save up and buy later.”
Fortunately, there were countless ways to earn 『Coins』.
Leveling up was his priority for now, but once he was on track, he’d focus on gathering 『Coins』 too.
“A shame, but the shop will have to wait.”
His inspection of the 【Akasha System 2.0】 was complete.
It felt like a brief glance, but somehow, the morning had already turned to afternoon.
“What, it’s *this* late already?”
The sun was high in the sky, but Ishia and Park Jihoo still hadn’t stirred.
Yesterday’s ordeal must’ve been too much.
Especially for Ishia, who’d practically come back from the dead.
He considered letting them rest a bit longer… but ‘Hell no’.
“Lazy bastards.”
Closing his 【Status Window】, Yujin stood up.
Today was their last day on the 1st Floor, Terra.
They’d likely return eventually, but for now, they wouldn’t be back for a while.
No time to waste.
It was their final day, so they’d have to push even harder.
‘That’ll make the 2nd Floor a bit easier.’
With a cruel smile, Yujin left the room.
His destination: Ishia and Park Jihoo’s rooms.
It was time for a shower in Red Goblin blood.
* * *
The next day.
Yujin set out from Terra with Ishia and Park Jihoo, both sporting dark circles under their eyes.
“Are we… finally going up?” Ishia asked.
“Yeah,” Yujin replied curtly.
Her face lit up as if she’d been granted salvation.
“So, we’re done with the Red Goblins for good?”
“That’s right.”
Over the past two days, Ishia and Park Jihoo had slaughtered over a thousand Red Goblins.
Maybe even two thousand.
They hadn’t kept count.
Thanks to that, both had reached level 20.
While other players were just starting to plan their hunts, level 20 was practically another dimension.
Yujin himself had hit level 22.
Even though he’d let Ishia and Park Jihoo handle most of the hunting, he’d leveled up too.
All thanks to the party system.
He’d only provided minimal support to keep them alive, yet the experience points rolled in steadily.
In short, he’d reaped the rewards without breaking a sweat.
Once again, Yujin marveled at the majesty of the 【Akasha System 2.0】.
‘Maybe I should grab a few more slaves and run a full-on factory?’
With ten or so more “workers,” he could automate experience point farming.
The thought crossed his mind.
But he quickly dismissed it.
People like Ishia and Park Jihoo were rare.
If he dragged along just anyone, he’d end up babysitting them, which would be more trouble than it was worth.
Better to stick with his original plan: a small, skilled workforce.
With a satisfied look, Yujin glanced at Ishia and Park Jihoo.
“But… what about the Earth Dragon?” Park Jihoo asked, catching his gaze.
“We’ll take it down before we go.”
Yujin had already defeated the 1st Floor’s gatekeeper, opening the path to the 2nd Floor.
But after a few days, it would’ve respawned.
Since its habitat was near the stairs to the 2nd Floor, it made sense to take it out again on the way.
If they got lucky, it might drop some decent items.
“Can *we* handle it?” Ishia asked.
At level 20, they far outleveled the Earth Dragon, a mere level 10 monster.
Even factoring in its boss-level abilities, they had no reason to fail.
“Yeah. So you two will take it on.”
It wouldn’t be easy, of course.
Compared to the Red Goblins they’d been farming, the Earth Dragon was far larger and more powerful.
“It’ll be good experience.”
The upper floors were teeming with monsters of similar size and strength.
Getting some practice now wasn’t a bad idea.
“Let’s move.”
It was time to bid farewell to the 1st Floor for a while.
Yujin left Terra with Ishia and Park Jihoo in tow.
