The next day.

「Would you like to enter Floor 10 of the Korea Main Tower?」

A question appeared before Lee Hyun’s eyes.

Hyun swallowed slightly.

‘This one’s definitely no pushover.’

Yesterday, after returning home, he had reviewed information about the 10th Floor once more.

Even if he had prepared thoroughly, as always, there was no room for carelessness.

Hyun drew in a sharp sense of tension throughout his body.

After confirming that the Cloaking Cloak was set to auto-equip—he responded to the prompt.

“Alright.”

Shlick—

Hyun’s body was transported into the Tower.

The setting of the 10th Floor was distinctly different from the ones before.

A dense forest where even sunlight barely reached.

Massive trees packed so tightly it was hard to even move freely.

If he were to encounter goblins in a place like this, the battle would surely become disadvantageous.

But the notorious reputation of the 10th Floor wasn’t built on something so minor.

No—it came from something far more immediate and direct.

Thud—!

‘…I knew it was coming, but that’s still a damn intense entrance.’

Right after entering the Tower, a terrifying monster fell before his eyes with a thunderous crash.

Its eye level was slightly below that of an average adult male.

And on top of that—

Puffhh… puffhh…

The sound of breathing, like something that had almost lost its mind.

‘No—this one hasn’t almost lost its mind. It has.’

Bloodshot eyes.

Nostrils flaring relentlessly, like it was sniffing out prey.

This was a Berserker Goblin.

Hyun clicked his tongue as he looked at the massive greatsword in the goblin’s hand.

Though called a greatsword, its jagged edges made it resemble a saw more than a blade.

‘If it weren’t for this cloak, that sword would’ve sliced right through my shoulder just now.’

There was a reason the Berserker Goblin was called the Newbie Guillotine.

It really could “guillotine” a rookie in the blink of an eye.

Back when the Tower first appeared, it was said that so many people died to this thing that statistics couldn’t even be accurately recorded.

Even now, accidents still occurred regularly.

No other goblins appeared on the 10th Floor.

But this one alone was enough to elevate the difficulty to a completely different level.

Sniff sniff sniff— sniff sniff snffkk—

The Berserker Goblin flared its nostrils as it sniffed the air.

But in the end, it couldn’t locate Hyun.

A Stealth stat unimaginable to other Hunters of the same level, plus the effect of the Cloaking Cloak, made it impossible to detect him.

No—this wasn’t a matter of same-level comparisons.

‘If I told anyone I had these stats at Level 10, no one would believe me.’

Purely in terms of stats, Hyun had already long surpassed the realm of Level 10.

No matter how fearsome the Newbie Guillotine might be, there was nothing it could do against such overwhelming stats.

Hyun calmly scanned his surroundings.

At the Berserker Goblin’s speed, it could close the distance in a single bound.

How many shots could he fire in that time?

One?

Two?

He wasn’t even sure if that would be enough to take it down.

The Berserker Goblin’s other terrifying trait was a regeneration rate that rivaled trolls.

Even if its arm got blown off, it would reattach it in seconds just by holding it to the stump.

Hyun shifted his gaze.

Upward.

‘Sniper Point Shift.’

Hyun moved to a thick tree trunk that was as far away as possible without obstructing his line of sight.

In the next moment, he was positioned stably atop a branch thicker than his torso.

Sniff sniff—! Sniff sniff sniff—!

The Berserker Goblin’s reaction was not normal.

Did it sense the movement?

It whipped its head around, sniffing even more furiously.

‘…That was close.’

Hyun swallowed hard.

If his Stealth were just a little lower?

No—if he simply didn’t have the cloak?

But for a sniper, hypotheticals were meaningless.

Hyun calmly raised his sniper rifle and took aim at the Berserker Goblin.

‘I’ve increased Firepower even more than during the Dark Orc fight.’

Of course, that one had been a degraded outdoor variant, but still—he had no concerns about Firepower now.

As long as he wasn’t discovered, victory was his.

He calculated the most certain timing.

He felt the flow of air and immersed himself in a world composed only of himself and the Berserker Goblin.

No chirping of small birds, no soft hum of insects.

Just the straight line between him, up in the tree, and the Berserker in the scope…

Soon, the world became silent.

It was time to throw a stone and send ripples through that still pond.

He held his breath.

Pulled the trigger.

BAAANG——!

Hyun’s invincible One Shot was finally released from the chamber, roaring toward the Berserker Goblin like a beast.

‘Perfect.’

Hyun had no doubt it would hit.

However—

——?!

The Berserker Goblin’s reaction speed was monstrous.

The moment Hyun pulled the trigger, it violently snapped its head in his direction.

The Cloaking Cloak’s effect disappeared with the first shot.

Did it sense the presence in that single instant?

‘What kind of monster…’

Hyun placed his finger back on the trigger.

By then, the bullet had nearly reached the Berserker’s face.

Maybe the goblin had already judged it was too late to dodge.

Whizz—!

It tilted its giant blade sideways, attempting to block the bullet.

Hyun had never seen anything so ridiculous.

Even the Dark Orc on the 15th Floor hadn’t reacted and had its head blown off.

Maybe this was what separated a Floor Master from the rest.

‘…One Shot might become a Two Shot at this rate.’

Hyun clicked his tongue inwardly as he prepared a second shot.

Maybe he wouldn’t get an S+ this time, but that would be his fault for not preparing better.

At that moment, the bullet collided with the sword.

A creature with reaction speed like that—he assumed it would either deflect or block it—

CRAAASH—!

“…?”

But that didn’t happen.

“Um.”

Momentarily confused, Hyun peered between the scope and his naked eye.

“…Is it dead?”

Whether through the scope or by eye, the result was the same.

The Berserker Goblin, not only had its jagged sword completely shattered, but its head was utterly destroyed.

Instant death.

Hyun stared in stunned silence.

He had pretended to stay composed, but in truth, he had mentally braced himself extensively before entering Floor 10.

He had even watched a horror movie in the dark the night before to strengthen his nerves.

And yet it really died in one shot?

The Newbie Guillotine?

“Hmph. That can’t be right. I clearly read that even if its head is blown off, it regenerates…”

Even with troll-like regeneration, this seemed absurd.

「Berserker Goblin defeated.
You have cleared Floor 10.
Grade: S+」

The system itself confirmed the kill.

Only then did Hyun slowly descend from the tree.

He cautiously approached the collapsed Berserker Goblin.

Poke poke—

He jabbed it with his rifle.

Thud thud—

He gave it a few kicks with his combat boots.

No response.

Which, of course, made sense.

Its head had exploded.

“What a lame bastard. Died in one shot to a measly 30 Firepower bullet?”

If the Berserker Goblin could hear him, it would likely find that accusation quite unfair.

He could’ve just not aimed for the head.

In any case, Hyun bashfully muttered a few insults before opening the notification windows.

「New record for Floor 10 clearance.
Location: Korea Tower
ID: One Shot
Grade: S+」

A full-system announcement had gone out.

Out in the world, people were probably cheering like mad that One Shot had achieved his tenth consecutive S+.

「Floor 10 Reward.
Item: ‘Berserker Goblin’s Greatsword (E)’ acquired.
Check your inventory.」

The reward for clearing Floor 10 was the Berserker Goblin’s Greatsword.

‘Hmph, I was hoping for a mana stone instead.’

Since this was a boss floor, he had been hoping for an E-rank mana stone to increase Mana, but it wasn’t the worst outcome.

In fact, by normal standards, it was quite good.

Compared to mana stones that sold for 200,000 won each, this sword had a base sale price of over a million won.

That was enough to prove to his parents that he was, in fact, working hard.

「S+ Grade Clear Bonus.
Exclusive Item: ‘Portable Shooting Range’ acquired.
Check your inventory.」
