I Got A Legendary Sniper Rifle - GLSR Chapter 14 (Part 2)
“Oh!”
Now this was the real prize.
Hyun’s eyes lit up as he saw the bonus for an S+ clear.
Portable Shooting Range.
Just hearing the name made his heart thump and his body tingle.
He had so many things he wanted to test, but no place to do it.
If this were the military, he could’ve used the base shooting range, but as a civilian, that was impossible.
He couldn’t exactly fire a gun somewhere public where everyone could see and hear it.
Hyun promised himself that he’d try out the shooting range the moment he got outside.
For the record, he didn’t level up.
‘Who cares? I got a shooting range.’
Completely unfazed, Hyun exited the 10th Floor.
Back at the open clearing he always used to enter the Tower—
He pulled the item out of his inventory.
At first glance, it looked like an ordinary badge.
「Exclusive Item: Portable Shooting Range
Allows entry to a shooting range for practice.
Cannot be used if someone is aware of your presence.
No injuries or deaths occur inside the range.
You can recreate previously visited areas as the environment.
You can summon hunted monsters as holograms.
You may manually adjust stats, but cannot increase them beyond your current values.」
“…Totally broken.”
After reading through the effects, Hyun offered his brief but honest opinion.
What even was a military shooting range compared to this?
“Ahh, I was such a normie before I knew about the Portable Shooting Range.”
Hyun immediately entered the range.
「Would you like to enter the Portable Shooting Range?」
“Yes.”
Entry was simple.
No need to shout anything militaristic while charging in—that alone was a plus.
The shooting range itself was an empty, flat space by default.
Its usage was simple.
Srrrk—
When Hyun imagined a military shooting range, the environment was replicated instantly.
The mountains in the back, the control station up front, even the distinctive smell.
A perfect recreation.
Even the monster targets were fully functional.
Bang—!
With a casual shot from Hyun, the target shattered beyond recognition.
Next up: monster summoning.
“…Let’s test this out.”
Hyun ducked into the trench before the firing line to hide himself.
Then, at the 800-meter mark, he summoned the Berserker Goblin he had just killed.
Sniff sniff—! Sniff sniff—!
Even though it was a hologram, it was indistinguishable from the real thing.
It sniffed the air briefly—
Then whoosh—! papapapap—!!
‘Holy shit!’
It immediately charged at Hyun like a maniac.
Truly a berserker.
Within 10 seconds, the goblin’s sawblade came crashing down on Hyun’s head.
「Death registered.
Cause: Berserker Goblin.」
But he felt no pain.
The moment it landed, the Berserker Goblin disintegrated into particles and vanished.
“So that’s how it works.”
Hyun was impressed by how well-structured the shooting range system was.
With this, he could train under realistic conditions as much as he wanted.
He could even recreate Tower floors as the environment.
To be honest, he would’ve been thrilled just to have some scarecrow targets in a big open field.
「Would you like to exit the Portable Shooting Range?」
“Yes.”
Hyun answered the system’s question.
Back in the clearing, he smiled.
“This is going to come in handy.”

「New record for Floor 10 clearance.
Location: Korea Tower
ID: One Shot
Grade: S+」
After days of silence, One Shot had finally cleared Floor 10.
Judging by the grade, it looked like he’d even brought down the infamous Berserker Goblin.
Most people responded with a sense of ‘As expected.’
After all, One Shot had taken down the mid-boss Dark Orc from Floor 15 while he was still on Floor 7.
Naturally, he must have grown since then, so there was no reason he’d struggle on Floor 10.
Most of the suspicions about One Shot being a villain were also dispelled.
Korean citizens were free to enjoy this pleasant breaking news like a festival.

As some joked, American citizens weren’t trembling in fear, nor were Japanese citizens plagued by nightmares, but it was true that foreigners were enviously admiring Korea.
Still, there were a few people who couldn’t enjoy this mood at all.
A prime example: the Talent Scouting Department at the Administration Bureau.
“…Tomorrow’s the 11th Floor, right?”
“Unless something comes up, yeah? He already beat the Berserker Goblin, so there’s no real obstacle left…”
“He’ll probably breeze through to the 15th Floor. People say the Dark Orc is easier than the Berserker Goblin anyway.”
In response to Seong Yoon’s grim tone, the staff around him nodded in agreement.
He glanced around at them and spoke.
“Tomorrow… I’ll finally have to make that call.”
“Huh? Call with who?”
“That… very important person.”
“W-Wait… you don’t mean the Minister?”
“He called when One Shot cleared Floor 1.”
“Then… the Prime Minister?!”
“That was when he cleared Floor 5.”
Everyone’s faces went pale.
Minister at Floor 1, Prime Minister at Floor 5…
Then for Floor 10?
No one asked further.
None of them wanted to be involved in that.
“If I want to stay alive, I need something—anything—to report.”
“W-Well… that’s true.”
Seong Yoon’s voice and expression grew more desperate.
It wasn’t like he could just say, ‘How should I know who One Shot is?’ and hang up.
He didn’t care much about promotions—but if he said that, he’d be worrying about his job security tomorrow, not his rank.
Then, one of the staff cautiously spoke.
“Uh… Department Chief.”
“Yeah? Got a good idea?”
The hopeful look in Seong Yoon’s eyes, as if he’d raise them like his own child for a good idea, gave the staff member chills.
Still, they had to say it.
“It’s nothing major, but… starting from Floor 11, it’s a shared floor, right?”
Everyone tilted their heads.
“Huh?”
“Oh, right!”
“One Shot’s still a Hunter, right? If we set people across the platform and just wait, he’ll show up eventually—unless he’s using some undetectable item or something. All the clear announcements go public anyway.”
“Hey!”
Seong Yoon suddenly shouted.
The staff member flinched.
Maybe that was too simple of an idea?
Surely the department chief had thought of this already—
“Why are you only saying this now?! Great work! I’ll go report to the Director!”
Wait… you really didn’t think of that?
“A-Ah… Thank you.”
The staff member nodded awkwardly as Seong Yoon rushed off excitedly to the director’s office.
Though it would be him making the call tomorrow, he still couldn’t go in without discussing it with his boss.
A few moments later—
“Damn it… Why didn’t you think of this earlier? What the hell are you guys even doing all day?!”
Seong Yoon returned, grumbling with his hair a complete mess.
‘Sir, didn’t you just praise us…?’
The staff didn’t dare say that part out loud. Judging by the look of him, he’d clearly gotten chewed out pretty badly.

From Floors 1 to 10, one had to climb the Main Tower completely alone—but from the 11th Floor onward, things changed slightly.
This was due to the existence of a special type of floor known as a “Shared Floor”, or alternatively, a “Platform”.
Floors 11 to 20, 21 to 30, and so on…
Every block of 10 floors had a platform shared by Hunters of each country, through which they could then enter the individual floor.
In platforms with lots of people, Hunters could form parties for raids, engage in bartering, use chat windows for communication, and more.
These areas were structured like small villages, allowing for rest and temporary lodging.
It also marked the point where the system’s “Party,” “Trade,” and “Friend” functions were unlocked, and practically, it was when the community’s “Private Message” feature began being widely used.
Most Hunters celebrated reaching Floor 11, feeling like they’d finally finished the tutorial.
“Sounds like it’s just going to be a huge pain.”
But Hyun was an exception.
He’d been clearing floors just fine on his own, and was confident he could continue to do so.
Running into people inside the Tower would only increase the risk of exposing his identity—something he had no desire for.
Still, from this point on, it was inevitable.
If he couldn’t avoid it, he had to prepare.
‘Well, with my current gear, this definitely won’t do…’
Hyun shook his head as he looked over the equipment he was using.
Going into the platform dressed in military surplus clothes?
People would immediately be saying things like, “What? He cleared this far wearing that? Is he One Shot?”
That’s if they were being generous.
Ding—
Just then, Hyun’s phone rang with a notification.
“Oho.”
His severance pay had been deposited.
