The Republic of Korea’s strongest superhuman and undisputed Rank 1.

“Divine Archer” Seo Suyeon.

With pale skin and long black hair cascading down, she sat comfortably on her sofa, her expression somewhat complicated as she stared at the notification window that had appeared before her.

「The 5th Floor clear record has been broken.
Location: Korea Tower
ID: One Shot
Grade: S+」

The fifth time.

Another record with the previously unheard-of S+ grade had been set.

“…Who in the world is it?”

She herself had earned a fearsome record of S grades from the 1st to the 4th Floor, but had fallen to A+ on the 5th Floor.

Given her trait as a Divine Archer, her strategy naturally revolved around long-range combat.

She could shoot from distances far beyond the reach of any other archer, but on the 5th Floor, that hadn’t worked.

‘It’s not known yet… but if you stay at a certain distance, it throws its spear.’

If you stood far off and aimed your bow, it would suddenly hurl a spear—its speed and power simply unmatched.

But if she descended the hill to close the gap, other goblins would become the problem.

That A+ rating was only achieved after killing the Goblin Warlord on her third shot, while fending off approaching goblins one by one.

Two arrows to pierce the armor, and a final one to end it.

Landing three precise arrows on the same spot during a real combat situation had more than proven Suyeon’s skill.

Even in America, an S-grade clear of the 5th Floor had only recently been achieved.

‘I had it easier since I use a bow…’

Suyeon mentally reviewed what the conditions for an S+ clear might be.

A single strike.

If the ID “One Shot” was taken at its word, then maybe—just maybe—killing the Goblin Warlord in a single blow could grant that absurd grade.

But how?

Even Suyeon couldn’t solve that mystery.

‘Unless it’s a gun or something…’

Suyeon chuckled to herself as the childish thought crossed her mind.

No matter how far-fetched things got, that was just ridiculous.

No Hunter used a gun as a weapon.

Weapons you couldn’t take into the Tower were completely meaningless.

And more than that—

A gun didn’t change whether it was fired by a child or a special forces soldier.

It didn’t grow stronger or weaker based on the user.

“I must really be shocked if I’m thinking like this.”

Suyeon shook her head, brushing away the train of thought that had gone way off course.

But One Shot was accomplishing so many absurd feats that her mind kept going down absurd paths.

She casually opened the community window.

“Baekbal Baekjung” (백발백중 / “Every Shot Hits”).

That was her ID.

She had chosen it thoughtlessly at first, but now that she was famous, it felt embarrassing to use it in chat rooms, so she kept a low profile.

Of course, her fans appreciated her composed demeanor, and any time she even typed a message, the internet would explode with articles about it.

Either way, she had no intention of jumping into a public chat room to say anything today.

「Private Message
ID: One Shot
: 」

Occasionally, for no real reason, she would open a private message window with One Shot.

Of course, she had never actually sent one.

It was known that One Shot had blocked all private messages.

‘…Still, I am Seo Suyeon.’

Not that she hadn’t thought about it, but if even she got blocked… the heartbreak would be no joke.

Once again, Suyeon stared at the empty chat window for a moment, then closed it completely.

“Maybe later… next time, I’ll try sending something.”

While the Divine Archer was toggling One Shot’s message window—

Lee Hyun had also returned home and was lying on the living room floor.

[ Breaking news. ID One Shot has cleared the 5th Floor with an S+ grade for the fifth time. The public’s curiosity continues to rise about the identity of this still-unknown individual. Over to reporter Kim Minjong… ]

‘The world moves fast these days, real fast.’

Had it even taken 5 minutes to get back from the training lot to home?

And already there was a breaking news report.

It hit home just how massive One Shot’s impact had become.

The news was full of wild speculations—maybe he was a secret government weapon, or a rookie hidden by a private guild.

Watching it, Lee Hyun thought:

‘I’m literally just an unemployed guy lying around at home.’

Scratch, scratch—

His hand reached under his shirt to scratch his belly with refreshing satisfaction.

Seeing him, Minjeong asked:

“Son, are things going well at work?”

“Yeah. I mean, I did work today, didn’t I?”

“What kind of job ends that fast?”

From a parent’s perspective, it was only natural to be curious.

He’d leave saying he had work and come back in less than 30 minutes.

Hyun stopped scratching and put on a serious face.

“It’s just because it’s still the early phase. It might start taking longer soon.”

“Oh, I see.”

Minjeong nodded like she understood.

A while ago, Dongho had messaged her—

Said that Hyun had probably started playing some game.

If he’d just begun, it made sense for things to be quick and easy at first.

She figured he was going to PC cafes or something, since he was trying to hide it.

Minjeong, not knowing much about games, just vaguely assumed that was the case.

Honestly, given what he’d been through in the military, she wouldn’t have minded if he lived with her forever.

But for both of them, that wasn’t ideal.

After a moment of silence, Minjeong spoke while watching the TV screen:

“Hyun, couldn’t you become a Hunter or something?”

“?”

Startled mid-belly scratch, Hyun looked at her.

‘What the…?’

Was this the instinct of a sniper’s mother?

Or the intuition of One Shot’s mother?

Since when had she been watching him with that look?

Hyun wavered more than he had in front of the Goblin Warlord.

Of course, Minjeong, who had been focused on housework, didn’t notice.

‘Guess not.’

Hyun returned his gaze to the TV.

“After all that I went through in the military, I really don’t want to go hunt monsters. And the severance pay’s coming in soon, so no need to worry for a while.”

“Well, that’s true. I’ve got money, so use it when you need it.”

Minjeong nodded as if she understood.

Hyun felt a little guilty for lying to her.

But the thought of, ‘It’s just family—it should be fine,’ was exactly the kind of thinking that led to national security breaches!

As a true soldier—and a true sniper—Hyun was very good at keeping secrets.

「All enemies eliminated.
You have cleared the 6th Floor.
Grade: S+」

“Hmm.”
