- M.L.E Chapter 59: Monopoly (Part 1)
A woman, seemingly engrossed in munching on snacks, turned out to be the famous Countess Arcia Klein.
In response to the astonished looks from Ivril and her senior part-timer, Arcia made a condescending ‘ahem’ sound.
If Adrian were present, his charming smile and the manner in which he would bring pride to his father would have been intimidating for both Ivril and her senior part-timer.
But at that moment,
Arcia, who was casually throwing a chocolate snack into her mouth, fixed her gaze on something.
[Customer Feedback]
It was a suggestion box commonly found in establishments where customer service is a primary service, such as in the food or retail industry.
Usually, even if people see something like this, they rarely write feedback.
The reason being, that putting something in the feedback box in front of employees seemed like nothing more than complaining.
However, Arcia was someone who didn’t need to worry about anyone’s gaze here.
Chewing on her snack, she approached the customer feedback box and took out a piece of paper, starting to write something on it.
[Rude staff / Arcia Klein (Seal)]
Then, she politely stamped the paper with her name and the family crest, a noble seal, and put it into the feedback box.
In truth, there was no need to include her name and seal, but it had become a habit developed through repetitive document approvals in her territory.
The senior part-timer, who had been impolite, staggered, and due to the height difference between the knights and Arcia who saw the content unintentionally opened their eyes and reached for their swords.
“Did you dare insult her Excellency the Count?”
Facing the knights who emitted a terrifying aura and glared at her, the senior part-timer’s legs gave in, and she hesitated, sitting down on the spot.
“Forgive, forgive me.”
As if she were about to burst into tears any moment, she sniveled, and Arcia, shrugging her shoulders, restrained the knights who seemed like they were shooting lasers with their eyes.
The convenience store part-timer might have been impolite, but Arcia didn’t think the knights would draw their swords.
Perhaps, due to this incident, she would never look down on others…
“Let’s go now.”
At Arcia’s decision, Cecil, the administrative officer, extended his hand to Ivril.
“What’s the young lady’s name?”
“I’m Ivril. Ivril Barnett.”
“Then, Ivril, let’s go to the mansion. Don’t worry about your parents and workplace. We’ll take care of everything.”
And so, Ivril, unexpectedly receiving royal treatment, left the convenience store behind, leaving the dejected senior part-timer.
However, Arcia remained unaware.
She had no idea that a single piece of paper, stamped with her seal and casually dropped into the feedback box, would turn the convenience store headquarters upside down. Even Count Ford, a magnate in the distribution industry and the owner of a convenience store, heard the story and, in a fit of anger, tried to arrest the part-timer.
Fortunately, the vassals of the Count Ford family stopped him, saying that they could not dispose of the person whom Arcia had saved, and the part-timer was revived. Nevertheless, the part-timer ended up on the blacklist of all companies associated with Ford.
Her subsequent story, unable to step foot in the retail industry again, became a prominent example emphasizing the importance of kindness in business.

“Phew, I managed to level up somehow today.”
After spending the whole day immersed in the game, I logged out briefly to meet Ivril, the girl Arcia had recruited.
As I took off my gaming goggles, Arcia’s face was the first thing that caught my eye. Naturally, I stood up, holding her hand that she extended as if it were expected.
“What about that girl?”
“The maids dragged her away, saying they would wash and dress her. It’s been about two hours, so they should be done by now?”
I always strive to give the best treatment to my people. Though the sudden change in environment might be bewildering for the girl entering the mansion, I believed experiencing the change directly would help her adapt more quickly than being overwhelmed by the atmosphere.
Next, as Arcia touched her neck, the illusion magic that concealed her appearance was removed and the All-round glasses was revealed.
“Here you go.”
“Thank you.”
Taking the glasses Arcia handed me, I used the clean spell to refresh myself and casually put on a coat.
It’s convenient, to say the least.
With a well-balanced physique and a handsome face, he effortlessly pulled off any outfit he wore. Beauty standards were universal, and being handsome never hurt.
“My lord.”
“My lord.”
As I left the room, maids and butlers bowed their heads from all directions.
Our destination was a separate building on the extensive grounds of the Marquis Lawrence Castle.
After receiving my title, I moved the entire mansion to this location, and promising talents settled in this annex.
Now, there was no need to worry about anyone’s scrutiny, and with my elevated status, everyone in the mansion could focus on their studies in a relaxed environment.
Additionally, with the increased quality of the teachers instructing them, we were on a steep curve of rapid growth day by day.
I’m genuinely looking forward to what will happen in a few years.
By then, how many high-level mages and knights will be around me…
Perhaps even Archmages and Aura Masters might appear?
“Farewell, my lord.”
“Take care, my lord.”
As we reached the newly named Star Talent Building, I could see a girl with quite stunning blonde hair and a chilly and intellectual-looking man sitting together.
“Eric, you’re not planning any mischief, are you?”
“Unfortunately, I have no desire to become a criminal.”
“Haha.”
Eric was one of the top talents at the Star Talent Building, known for his political talents and attributes. Unlike mages and knights who required gradual steps, there were no standards for rank in politics, so his growth rate was incredibly fast.
It had only been four months, but he already possessed the skills and eloquence that could be put to use on the front lines.
Ivril, dressed in an ivory-colored dress, and Eric in a black suit contrasted like an angel and a devil.
‘Well, she’s a candidate for Saintess and he’s a prospective politician. Both in appearance and internally, it seems like they match.’
I took the head table with Arcia and looked at the well-dressed Ivril.
Is it because Arcia keeps hanging out with me?
I no longer felt attracted to women’s beauty, and besides, she was pretty, but not as much as Arcia.
“Lord Lawrence, I extend my greetings.”
“Welcome. I am Adrian Lawrence.”
Although she seemed a bit awkward due to her unfamiliarity with noble etiquette, I could sense admiration, anticipation, and embarrassment when she looked at me.
I extended my hand to her.
She looked puzzled, not understanding the meaning, and I gestured for her hand.
Her thin and delicate hand lightly rested on mine.
When Ivril blushed, I immediately let go of her hand.
“You chose well.”
“Thank you.”
Then, unnecessarily, I said something to Arcia.
To those who didn’t know, my actions might seem like I was confirming Ivril’s potential.
