Derivative Skill.

A “derivative,” as in something that has branched off from the main skill.
In that sense, a derivative skill was a modified and extended version of its parent skill.

◆ Find Weakness [U]

When this skill is used, the Predatory Instincts [S] are awakened, allowing the Player to perceive even the slightest shifts in the surrounding environment and enemy behavior.
The Player becomes capable of detecting changes in an enemy’s body temperature, heart rate, attack patterns, and even psychological state.
As a result, the Player can [detect] the enemy’s [weaknesses] in advance—exposed areas, armor vulnerabilities, or openings caused by fatigue and exhaustion.

<This is a derivative skill stemming from Predatory Instincts [S].>

‘So that’s what a derivative skill is.’

Just as the word suggested—”something split off from the main body”—it was a skill that branched off from Predatory Instincts [S].
Apparently, I had awakened it naturally after using Predatory Instincts repeatedly to examine Serapia’s condition.

The measured rank was [U], meaning Unique.
In other words, a one-of-a-kind ability exclusive to me.

‘Could it be… the memories and experiences from the coalition days added onto it?’

That seemed to be the case.
Even though the ability came from the Lycanthrope, it had evolved into something unique to me.

Either way, it was an incredibly useful skill.
Being able to instantly identify an enemy’s weakness—one could even call it broken.

When I tested it on Serapia, her weak spots lit up red and immediately entered my view.

Her solar plexus, where the heart lay.
Her head, where the brain resided.
And every major artery in her body, including the carotid.

They were all standard vulnerabilities of a human body.
In other words, this proved that Serapia was still human, not the Monarch of Frost.

Except for one thing.

‘Why… me?’

For some reason, my own body was glowing red too.
Like a leaf turning crimson in autumn, I was shining bright red all over.

And then—

Knock knock.

A knock came from the other side of the door.

—“Pardon my intrusion.”

With a light tap, a man entered the room.

A man walked in without my permission.
Only one person in the entire County would dare barge in like that with such guts.

I turned my head, ready to snap at him.

“…What the—?”

And my face froze.

“What do you mean, sir?”

Kai tilted his head and responded, looking pristine without a single scratch.

‘Why the hell is he so fine?’

Back then, the injuries Kai sustained from the Lycanthrope were critical.
Sure, five days had passed since then, but even so.

Even with an immortal-type ability, recovering aura would take time.
I’d estimated at least two weeks for full recovery.

And yet, here he was, completely fine after only five days.

“Wait… don’t tell me you had a breakthrough?”

“How could you know that just by looking at me?”

Kai’s eyes widened in disbelief.
But the one who should be surprised here was me.

He must’ve gained some enlightenment in that battle against the Lycanthrope.
It was already impressive enough that he completed the wolf’s sword technique back then…

‘Was it really that easy, though?’

Even factoring that in, this level of growth was absurd.
I stared at Kai, dumbfounded.

◆ You are now using the Derivative Skill [Find Weakness][U]!

Along with the system prompt, Kai’s weaknesses should’ve appeared in my vision.

‘…They didn’t?’

Nothing showed.
No matter how hard I looked, I couldn’t see a single weakness.

‘That makes no sense.’

This was impossible.
A living being without a weakness simply didn’t exist.

Even dragons had them. Even I had them.

If my head or heart was destroyed, I would die.
Even with [Regeneration B+], there was a limit.
If my nutrients were depleted, I’d also die.

Only an Ultimate Lifeform could have no weakness.

That was the kind of being Ian once mentioned.
And at that level… it was no longer a lifeform, but something that deserved the title of God.

Even if Kai had experienced some kind of advancement—

‘…Wait. No way.’

I activated Predatory Instincts [S] with growing suspicion.
Just like with Serapia, a clear overview of Kai’s information surfaced.

====
Name: Kai
Classification: Animalia, Mammalia, Homo sapiens
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Traits: Adoptive Muscle Memory [A-], Immortal Link [E]

Sure enough, there were unique details.
The first trait: Adoptive Muscle Memory [A-].

◆ Adoptive Muscle Memory [A-]

Upon acquiring this skill, muscle cells are granted the ability to [retain learning memory].
Physical activities and training previously experienced are intuitively recalled, and relearning them increases efficiency by [+1,205%].
Neurological and muscular coordination is enhanced by [+2,290%], allowing the user to utilize their body more efficiently with less energy.
The capacity to learn movement is pushed to the biological limit.
However, muscle fatigue accumulates [+6,550%] faster, and risk of joint and ligament damage increases by [+1,430%].

…Ridiculous.
