More precisely, she simply doesn’t believe me.

The Dark Merchant Group—worshippers of corrupted souls—uses forbidden magic to control their targets perfectly. Just look at Avarus.

Just as Eratum didn’t realize who I really was, Isolde also hadn’t figured out my true identity.

Therefore, she didn’t think of me as Adrian Whitewolf.

No matter what I said, it was natural that Isolde wouldn’t believe me.

In that case, there was only one option.

I sharpened my Dragon’s Claw [A].

And just as I was about to swing it at the charging Isolde—

Predatory Instincts [S] warned me.

‘Danger!’

I retracted my Dragon’s Claw [A] and stepped back.

Whoosh—!

Isolde’s fist grazed my cheek, accompanied by an incredible gust of wind.

It only grazed me, and yet my eardrum rang.

My head buzzed from the shockwave—Zing!—and my vision blurred.

…Counterattacking wasn’t an option.

I quickly widened the distance and steadied my view—only to see Isolde from a bit farther away, pulling both fists to her chest.

‘Divine Martial Fist?’

Divine Martial Fist.

The martial art that made Isolde a hero of the Allied Forces.

Its power isn’t just destructive—it’s catastrophic.

So much so that even Ian once commented on it:

—I should be the one learning this instead.

Isolde swallowed a shaky breath.

Then, golden energy surged around her.

Divine Power.

If the Divine Martial Fist made her a hero of the Allied Forces, Divine Power gave her the identity of a saint.

And rightly so—Divine Power is not magic.

Some call it divine magic, but that’s technically incorrect.

Divine Power doesn’t originate from Mana Force—it is a variation of Aura.

And Aura is an absurd power that brings imagined things into reality.

Divine Power, as a form of Aura, is likewise a manifestation of things once thought only imaginable.

The imagination that Divine Power brought forth—

Was God.

A supernatural, superhuman being beyond perception, finally incarnated into reality.

Whether God exists or not is beside the point.

The intensity of human belief has a power that surpasses ontological arguments.

And Aura is, ultimately, the product of an individual’s imagination.

Thus, abilities manifested through Aura differ from person to person.

Because no two people imagine exactly the same, each Aura-based ability reflects individual belief.

But Divine Power is different.

Because the supreme, immortal being known as God is universal to all.

Collective belief. Hence, Divine Power does not draw from individual imagination, but from the power of collective imagination.

That extraordinary force goes beyond absurdity—it makes the impossible possible.

From minor healing, to purification, blessings, prophecy—even resurrection.

All of it is the power of God!

As part of that collective belief.

Thus, mages do not classify Divine Power as magic.

It is belief that produces miracles.

Belief in the power of God.

And so, the Archmage of the Allied Forces once defined Divine Power as:

—Divine Power is the ultimate form of Aura.

But Isolde—

She goes even further.

◆ Omni Vessel [M]

: The user’s [physical vessel] and [mental vessel] can accept all forms of [energy] and [concepts] in the world.
The absorbed powers are not simply stored but [fused] into the user’s essence, allowing even opposing concepts to coexist within them [without contradiction].
However, there is a risk of collapse in willpower, and during the process of acquiring new essence or concepts, the user may experience ego disintegration.

She can contain even such divine belief.

A being who carries the potential to become God in human form.

That is the woman currently trying to kill me—

Isolde Cordelia.

Commander of the Papal Palace.

Hero of the Allied Forces.

And the most powerful wielder of Divine Power in all of the continent’s history—a Saint.

RUMBLE!

Golden Divine Power swirled around Isolde like a vortex.

A raging current of force.

The walls of the alley exploded in every direction.

That power, like a natural disaster, could never be mistaken for anything human.

Divine Power is the ultimate form of Aura.

Isolde is the embodiment of that Divine Power.

Don’t be fooled just because she appears to be a woman.

Her body may be feminine in form—but the power housed within is anything but.

Just as I could use Regeneration [B+] to push my muscles beyond human limits, so too could Isolde.

In fact, she far surpasses me.

An absurd talent—Perfect Muscle Control [A].

An unimaginable force—Divine Power.

Isolde’s body, trained through these powers, is a living weapon in itself.

That’s why she doesn’t use weapons—she doesn’t need to.

Just once.

If the Divine Martial Fist lands just once, my entire body will be torn apart.

But—

‘Still unrefined.’

The power of the Divine Martial Fist isn’t what it used to be.

Compared to the Isolde of the Allied Forces, she’s far weaker now.

While the technique itself remains unchanged, the Isolde using it is not the same.

Just as I’m no longer the Predator of the Allied Forces, Isolde is no longer the Saint of the Allied Forces either.

The experience gained through countless battlefields—this cannot be ignored.

Her lack of refinement—

Gives me a chance.

I stop breathing and charge forward.

Isolde doesn’t dodge.

She clenches her fists and meets my Dragon’s Claw [A] head-on.

The gauntlets wrapped in Divine Power.

Their destructive force was terrifying, but my Dragon’s Claw [A] was no less so.

CRRRRRK!

I tore through her Divine Power resistance.

Her body was pushed back for a moment, and beyond the white stag mask, I could see her topaz-like eyes.

That was unmistakably the same Isolde from my past life.

Just like before, her eyes betrayed no emotion whatsoever.

But with Find Weakness [U], I could sense her ‘agitation.’

I quickly ducked and slipped inside her guard.

A gap in her body identified by Find Weakness [U].

Dragon’s Claw [A] tore through her right armpit.

But before I even realized it—her left fist was already driving into my side.

Her armpit torn by me—and my ribs shattered by her—happened almost at the exact same time.

BOOM!

The massive shock sent me flying—

Crash, crash, CRACK!

I smashed through several alley walls before finally coming to a stop.

I hastily used Regeneration [B+] to repair my broken ribs.

And just as I refocused my vision—

Isolde was already charging at me with incredible speed.

The wound I inflicted on her armpit—was completely healed, as if it never happened.

Overwhelming regeneration powered by Divine Power.

I knew it intellectually—but seeing it…

Mirror healing, I think it was called?

Now I understood why Lycans and Avarus had freaked out over my Regeneration [B+].

‘Damn it.’

……Now I get it. Even just a little.
