A Frontline Soldier Awakened as a Gamer In The War! - FSAGW Chapter 112 (Part 2)
“I’ll make you all pay! Rieka, hold on tight!”
“Yes! Don’t worry about me!”
In order to approach Canien, Kaiyan lowered his posture and exerted his legs with the same force as when he usually ran.
Vroooom!
The ground that served as a launching pad shattered into pieces as his body shot forward at an incredible speed. It was so fast that he couldn’t even open his eyes properly due to the intense wind pressure.
“Ugh…!”
He had some idea that controlling this speed would be difficult, but he didn’t expect it to be this challenging. His body was moving so quickly that objects in his surroundings were nothing but blurs.
At this rate, he would reach Canien, but it wouldn’t be according to his original plan; he would collide head-on.
“This won’t work! Activate the title ‘Guardian of the Sky’!”
He used the title not to increase his speed but to adjust his direction and velocity. As a result, his flying speed decreased slightly, making it easier for him to go in the direction he desired.
“…It’s even more intense than when I first equipped the items.”
He had experienced a similar situation when he suddenly gained increased stats in Panielun. Of course, it wasn’t as extreme as this, but the adjustment period was still challenging.
Swooosh!
As he barely managed to break through the wind resistance and raised his head, dozens of tentacles passed by him like a breeze in the place where he had just been.
Kwaaaaah! Kwaaaaah!
“Hehehe! Die! Die!”
He could hear Canien’s mad laughter. Canien seemed to be unaware of his approach and was wildly swinging his tentacles.
“What a foolish fellow.”
He had no idea that Kaiyan was right in front of him.
In about three seconds, he had covered a distance of at least 500 meters.
“Now, it’s either you die or I die!”
Right before the collision with Canien, he extended both hands as if giving a cheer. His fingers were sharply pointed.
Canien didn’t anticipate that the human would be able to stay alive after receiving two strikes from his tentacles.
Furthermore, for the first time, he felt something amiss with his tentacles.
Certainly, ten minutes ago, he had thought Kaiyan was powerless and on the brink of death after receiving two tentacle blows, but he was now conspicuously alive.
And what was even more shocking was that Kaiyan had suddenly got stronger. The three tentacles he had sent to kill him had burst without any reason.
As excruciating pain washed over him, he couldn’t bear it any longer and decided to eliminate Kaiyan. Leaving just a few tentacles, he swung the rest of his tentacles toward Kaiyan.
Kwaaaaaah!
“Hahaha! Die, you bug-like fellow!”
Canien laughed heartily as the power of a single tentacle shattered buildings like an earthquake. Although dozens of tentacles had undoubtedly struck the spot where Kaiyan was, there was no reaction whatsoever. That meant he was dead.
“That’s right! A pathetic fellow like you being crushed like a bug…”
But just as Canien was about to laugh and retract his tentacles…
“Kwaaaaaah!”
He felt excruciating pain at the point where his tentacles were connected to his torso.
It felt like something was forcibly piercing through his body. In a hurry, he lowered his head, and indeed, there was a large hole just below his torso.
Compared to his enlarged physique, it was a small hole, but the pain he felt through that wound was beyond imagination.
“W-What is this? Ughh!”
Furthermore, the pain didn’t stop.
As Canien knelt down in agony, overcome by the pain coursing through his body and making him itch all over, something pierced through his body and came out.
Squish!
“Ugh… Are you okay, Rieka?”
[Ugh! The smell is too foul!]
The one who had pierced Canien’s torso was none other than Kaiyan.
Kaiyan landed somewhat uneasily, covered in black liquid that had stained his entire body.
Kwaaah!
“Well… My strength is overflowing, but my stamina can’t keep up. I can’t just use my power recklessly.”
[There’s no other way! Using strong power requires stamina too!]
While Kaiyan was wiping off the black liquid from his body and talking with Rieka, Canien, with his body pierced, glared at Kaiyan with eyes turned black as if in frustration.
“H-How? You should have died!! You were hit by my tentacles!”
In Canien’s mind, Kaiyan was truly an enigma.
Clearly not an Aura Master, yet emitting power close to his level. And now, using even stronger power as if disregarding Aura Masters altogether.
It was unbelievable that even with the combined power of three, obtained at the cost of killing their comrades, they were still inferior to him.
After staring at Kaiyan for a moment, as if making up his mind, Canien spoke.
“Krrr…! Fine, I’ll acknowledge you as my enemy. A formidable opponent.”
Suddenly, while enduring the pain, Canien inserted ten black tentacles into the ground. These tentacles detached themselves from Canien’s body and remained motionless on the ground.
Observing Canien’s actions from up close, Kaiyan tilted his head in confusion.
“…Why did he detach his tentacles all of a sudden? Could it be the Black monsters? But… it’s different from back then.”
When creating the Black monsters, the tentacles had clearly expanded in size. But now, they remained motionless on the ground without any apparent changes.
Noticing something unusual, Kaiyan extended his fist towards the nearest tentacle.
Fwoooosh!
Even though the tentacle was more than 30 meters away, when Kaiyan struck the air, the flow of his Aura and power merged, creating a tremendous gust of wind as they soared toward the black tentacle.
Kwaaaaaaang!
With a single punch, the black tentacle shattered into tiny pieces, unable to withstand the impact.
After breaking the tentacle, Kaiyan looked at Canien again, but he had his eyes closed as if it didn’t matter if the tentacle was destroyed.
“…What is his goal?”
[Kaiyan, there’s only 2 minutes left!]
“Well, then it’s time to wrap this up. Let’s go!”
Just as Kaiyan was about to take a step towards Canien,
Rumble!
The already crumbling Lumbanium Castle began to split apart as a massive earthquake shook the ground.
