Heavenly Martial God - H.M.G Chapter 2 (Part 2):
Blink. Blink.
An unfamiliar yet somehow familiar ceiling came into view.
It was the ceiling of Namgoong Hyuk’s quarters.
“…….”
Ha Hoo Young tried his best to remain calm, but he couldn’t hide his disbelief.
“Did… Did I actually faint?”
I fainted?
Me?
Clutching his dizzy head, Ha Hoo Young sat up and shook it off.
“I must still be adjusting to this body. Or maybe this guy’s body and mind are just ridiculously weak.”
Otherwise, how could he have been overpowered by mere gate guards?
Thinking about it that way, fainting made sense.
“Looks like the main gate’s a no-go. The family head has already restricted me from leaving, so there’s no point in wasting energy there.”
In his current state, there was no way he could leave through the main gate.
Ha Hoo Young quickly accepted reality and got up from his seat.
Dragging his trembling legs, he crawled outside.
“Huff! Huff! Then I’ll just take another route!”
Giving up wasn’t in his nature.
He considered figuring out the strange state of his body first, but escaping this damn Namgoong Family was his top priority.
He refused to play along with those immortal bastards’ plans for even a moment.
He could recover his body’s condition once he got out.
Ha Hoo Young changed direction and faced a wall.
At the main gate, the gate guards who had knocked him out earlier were vigilantly keeping watch.
‘Consider yourselves lucky. If I were in my prime, I’d have flattened you all and walked out!’
With magnanimous forgiveness (or so he told himself), Ha Hoo Young leaned against the wall.
Patrolling guards passed by, loitering.
He quietly observed them as they passed.
‘Perfect.’
As he watched the guards move away from the wall, Ha Hoo Young tilted his head.
His gaze returned to the wall.
He stealthily moved to a secluded corner and reached out to the wall.
“There’s nothing more reliable than climbing over a wall!”
The spot he chose was a remote, secluded part of the outer wall.
It was a blind spot where people’s eyes rarely reached, and he had confirmed that the guards had passed by. Now all he had to do was act, and escaping would be simple.
“Alright, let’s go!”
Without hesitation, Ha Hoo Young gripped the wall.
It wasn’t particularly high—barely eight feet.
His new body had limbs that were relatively long for his height.
With a few stretches, he could reach the top of the wall.
Crack!
“Ugh! Damn this useless body. Why is it so weak?”
The problem was that as he stuck his fingers into the crevices of the wall and pulled himself up, his bones screamed in protest.
“Ugh!”
His fingers felt like they were about to break, but he gritted his teeth.
Slowly, very carefully, he lifted his body.
His hands, shoulders, and legs trembled violently.
“Damn it, since when was climbing a wall this hard?”
Drip, drip.
Sweat quickly formed on his body, dripping from his forehead.
“Huh?”
Wait, I’m sweating just from climbing?
What kind of pathetic body is this?
‘Never mind, I’ll figure it out after I get over!’
Ha Hoo Young exerted strength into his hands again and clenched his teeth.
Like a tortoise slowly climbing the Heavenly Mountain, he inched up the wall bit by bit.
Sweat dripped down, soaking his body, but he paid it no mind.
‘I am the Supreme One, Ha Hoo Young. Do you think I can’t climb this little wall? I can do it! I will do it!’
Crack! Snap!
“Hah, haaaah!”
Ha Hoo Young’s mouth gradually widened, but he finally saw the top.
Using his elbows, he pulled himself up and finally reached the top of the wall.
Just climbing the wall filled him with an overwhelming sense of exhilaration.
“Done! I did it. Hahaha! That’s right, there’s no way I couldn’t handle this. Now, to get down……”
As Ha Hoo Young prepared to climb down the other side, his pupils shook.
Below the wall, guards were staring blankly at him.
“…….”
“…….”
For a moment, their eyes met, and an awkward silence fell.
Countless emotions crossed through the air.
Ha Hoo Young, dripping with sweat, looked down at the guards, while they looked up at him with blank expressions.
The guards’ mouths gradually opened, and their eyes bulged as if about to pop out.
Ha Hoo Young let out a deep sigh and covered his face with one hand.
And at that moment.
“Yo, Young Master!”
“What are you doing?! Get down now!”
“You’ll get hurt! Stay still! What are you all standing around for? Go up and bring the Young Master down!”
The guards panicked and rushed toward the wall.
Ha Hoo Young looked at the noisy guards and let out a hollow laugh.
‘How many guards do they even have?’
He hadn’t imagined there’d be more outside.
‘Should I push them away and run?’
As he felt the urge to shove the guards climbing the wall, a shocked cry came from behind.
“Young Master! What’s this about while I was away for a moment? The physician said you shouldn’t move!”
Geum Cheom Sang, below the wall, fidgeted and shouted.
“Why did you climb up there? It’s dangerous, come down right now, Young Master! Hurry!”
Caught between a rock and a hard place, Ha Hoo Young let out a deep sigh.
By now, guards had climbed the wall and were approaching him, while Geum Cheom Sang was panicking behind him.
“Damn it. Nothing’s going right.”
Glancing back and forth, Ha Hoo Young shook his head.
Meanwhile, the guards below the wall grabbed his legs.
“That’s enough. Let go.”
How dare you lay hands on me!
“No, it’s dangerous, so step on my shoulder……”
“I said let go.”
Ha Hoo Young lightly slapped the guard’s hand away and firmly shook his head.
‘This escape plan isn’t working. I’ll have to wait for a better opportunity to escape. For now, I’ll focus on recovering my body.’
Smacking his lips in disappointment, he loosened his grip on the wall.
“Yo, Young Master!”
“Haaah!”
The guards climbing the wall reached out in shock, while Geum Cheom Sang below screamed.
‘What’s with the fuss?’
Is this wall some thousand-foot cliff?
Even a seven-year-old could climb this. Why the fuss?
As he fell to the ground, Ha Hoo Young chuckled bitterly.
He planned to return to his quarters immediately, but as he stepped on the ground, he noticed the guards’ faces twisted in shock and horror.
Amused by the guards’ horrified expressions, he shook his head pityingly—
Crack!
“Huh?”
What was that?
A strange sound reached his ears.
The sound coming from his body was both familiar and unfamiliar.
He had definitely heard it countless times before, but where?
As he tried to turn his head to identify the sound.
Thud!
His body tilted and he fell flat on his back.
“Huh, huh?”
What’s going on? Why is this happening?
Along with confusion, a sense of foreboding struck the back of his head.
His pupils gradually dilated, fixed on his foot stretching toward the sky.
His foot…….
Dangling.
“……Dangling?”
Why is my ankle like that?
“Huh?”
Only then did Ha Hoo Young realize the situation.
‘Bro, broken……?’
As he recognized his broken ankle, a terrible pain shot up from the dangling ankle to his throat.
“Ah…… Aaaah!”
A mere fall from a wall did this to his leg?!
“What kind of body is this…….”
…Damn those crazy immortal bastards.
“Gurgle!”
Foam bubbled up from Ha Hoo Young’s lips.
“Youuuuung Masteeeeer!”
“Physician! Physician! To the medical hall!”
“Aaaah!”
The guards’ screams echoed through the estate.
Geum Cheom Sang, shocked by the sudden chaos, muttered in despair.
“We’re doomed.”
