How the Regressed Munchkin Chews Up the Tower - H.R.M.C.U.T Chapter 16 (Part 2):
Yujin poured mana into the 『Black Wing [A]』 in his hand.
An immense power, incomparable to when he’d slashed that lump earlier, began to pulse.
What was Yujin’s greatest strength?
『King of All Arms [S]』?
『Divinely Blessed Body [S]』?
『Unity of Mind and Body [E]』?
Or perhaps the 『Black Wing [A]』 he held?
Each one was exceptional enough to shake the Tower.
Possessing even one would guarantee survival up to at least the 30th Floor.
But none of those were it.
“Think I’m a pushover?”
His greatest weapon was his experience—climbing to the top of the Tower and tearing Apocalypse to shreds.
Level 100? Level 1,000?
“Didn’t know a high level makes you immune to a blade in the gut.”
Yujin focused his mind.
With near-superhuman concentration, the world began to slow.
*Step-.*
He took a single step forward.
Thanks to 『Unity of Mind and Body [E]』, Yujin could move at the same accelerated speed as his thoughts.
‘They’re strong.’
As expected of those guarding the King of Trash.
Each one was at least between Level 20 and 50.
In Terra, on the 1st Floor, they were practically reapers of death.
To Yujin, though? Not so much.
His black blade sliced through the air.
* * *
Tailon, who had turned to return to his seat, suddenly froze.
‘What’s this?’
A chill ran down his spine, an inexplicable sense of dread rising within him.
‘…This is.’
It was an unfamiliar sensation.
In the centuries he’d been bound to the Tower, he’d only felt this a handful of times.
Fear.
Astonishingly, the heavy weight pressing on his chest was none other than dread itself.
‘Why?’
He hadn’t felt this even when facing Cupiditas of the Alchemist Guild or the other lords.
Instinctively, Tailon turned his head.
And he saw it.
A pair of black wings cleaving through space, unleashing a tempest.
*Kwagagagagagaga-!*
It was sword aura.
Mana flowing along the blade of the winged black sword had transformed into a tangible force, sweeping through the surroundings.
Its power wasn’t great—perhaps equivalent to Level 10.
That he’d grown this much in a single day was astounding, but for someone of Tailon’s caliber, it was hardly worth noting.
Yet.
Tailon’s eyes widened.
“This is insane…”
It wasn’t a simple movement.
Though it appeared reckless, the profundity within it was beyond his ability to comprehend.
Level 100? Level 200?
No, even that wouldn’t explain his shock.
At least Level 300.
Astonishingly, Sung Yujin was wielding a sword of such an exalted realm.
*Shiver-.*
Cold sweat trickled down his back as a chill gripped him.
‘What the hell is this guy!’
When he’d heard Yujin had toyed with Didaskalia in the tutorial floor, he’d been mildly surprised but didn’t dwell on it.
If anything, he’d found it amusing that one of the Tower’s Administrators had been humiliated.
When Yujin survived meeting Cupiditas in the Abyss of the Alchemist Guild, Tailon had merely thought him lucky.
But now.
Watching Sung Yujin bare his teeth in a grin, swinging his sword at his subordinates, that earlier sensation grew even stronger.
Sung Yujin was no ordinary player.
Surviving Didaskalia and Cupiditas wasn’t luck.
*Slash- Slash- Slash-!*
Subordinates, at least two or three times his level, collapsed like rotten straw.
Blood painted the air, and screams echoed through the void.
‘…A monster.’
That thing was a monster.
Their eyes met.
An unfathomable abyss.
The madness swirling within was enough to make one’s heart plummet.
“Lower your eyes, you bastard. Before I rip them out and write the Tripitaka with the ink.” [T/N: The Tripitaka, also known as Tipitaka, is the collection of Buddhist scriptures considered the core teachings of Gautama Buddha. ]
Yujin’s flippant threat tightened around Tailon’s heart like a vice.
